What route would you like to see the Premier League go?

This way with stricter financial control or stay as it is with the top clubs able to bring in the worlds best players?

Would be good to see the lesser clubs win the league again and to be able to go into a season without knowing that 1 of about 4 teams will win the league but am I the only time that gets a bit disappointed when the top players leave for other countries?

This just favours the big teams. Man U will always generate the most income allowing them to spend more then anybody else

I agree with bringing it into the championship and lower down but not the prem. If prem clubs can manage to go tits up with the amount of money coming into the club then its the own fault. Its about time they acted responsibly, bringing in these rules is not the answer

but thats because they have the means too? Its fair that Utd can spend more than Wigan as the income is far greater.

When the rules are set out to favour Man U teams are no longer playing on a level playing field and its unfair

Yeah, but if football starts to get like that, then clubs like Wigan will never even get into the Prem.

Surprise surprise Fergie thinks its a good idea in theory

But just like I said he is worried that they wont actually be enforce the rules because clubs like us and Man City have owners that own another company and hide investment as income from their other companies.

It only serves to keep things as they are. The whole FFP regs that are coming in only work if youre starting a new league with new teams all on a level playing field.

I really dont see how the people in power can think this is a fair move. I mean this is the biggest floor in the plan and its the most obvious one.

Not sure what you can really do to change it ... how about a 'draft' system like American Football .... every player wanting to come to the Prem or be transferred within the Prem gets put into a 'value pot' ... i.e Edin Cavani joins us (after we are promoted this season <whistle>) whilst Man United get Shaun Derry ..... see how it works ? .... I think the idea has legs ...

Funny enough, I was thinking about something on those lines earlier. We used to talk about it when I was at Uni when monopolisation was ruining the game. Thirteen years later and little has changed (other than Man City replacing Arsenal as occasional winners).
