Will you lot stop talking about irrelevant matters and return to the the theme of the thread. It's titled "The best team in the league", so please resume talking about Cardiff City.........
.. OK, OK ... this Cardiff City team are probably the best ever team to end up finishing second in the Championship ..... satisfied now?
,, now you've done it ... bit dangerous with your particular board name and their prelidection for clippers if you ask me ...
...............Cheers - that's much better lads. Me old mate Oscar Wilde once said: - âThe only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.â Brendan Behan (the drinker with a writing problem ) also said: - "there's no such thing as bad publicity".
Will use Wenger's quote (in 2002) in response to Fergie claiming he had the best team in the league despite Arsenal winning the league "everyone thinks they have the prettiest wife at home". Loanees may get recalled in reference to the posts about Stockdale and Elmo but then the world may end tomorrow - you can not base a discussion on which team may get promoted on a MAY, and as for Hull strikers Gedo was signed so can Leicester fans stop using the Hull have no strikers argument, and signing one extra may motivate those currently at the club to perform better as they know there is competition for places
Contradicting yourself a bit - Gedo is very much a "may". Your season hangs on whether he can cut it in this league, which he "may" or "may not" do. Also, the Hull fan are hoping we "may" get injuries to key players that certainly can cut it in this league. Seems to be Hull's chances of promotion are very much reliant on what "may" happen rather than what is likely to happen.
Sorry I sincerely apoligise and let me rephrase it Hull have no strikers with proven quality in this league
It doesn't really, we've still got a striker to come in on emergency loan, to replace the DJ Campbell deal.
If you recall my post scooterman, I did say he was a drinker with a writing problem. Mr. Ratner was just being honest about his overpriced wares in that speech - and he paid the price for bragging about it. Sometimes honesty is not the best policy - just ask any whistleblower. (this principle does not apply to referees )
.. quite right Charles ..... that's exactly why we told Messi to 'do one' and stay at Barca when he was just begging to join us .. we were quite firm and told him that he had no chance of taking Gally's place on our bench ......
So you are saying that we would change the structure and formation of our whole team just for Knockaert, despite that he really isn't better then quite a few of our players, ie, Quinn, Aluko, Brady, Elmo, Koren and Meyler!
Dear me Charlie, if we had Knockaert, he'd definitely be playing, he'd have Aluko's place at the moment and even when Aluko's back, he'd get in ahead of others you've mentioned(though obviously not the two wing backs, as he doesn't play in that position).
... no Charles ... I'm intimating that a very good footballer like Knockaert could fit into any formation ... and formations alone don't win games ... good players do.
For us it did, at first we couldn't score for toffee but then Bruce changed the formation to 3-5-2 (yes it is 3-5-2 before anyone tries to argue against it), and then we scored 10goals in 3 games!
