Looking at this article, it would seem that our little difficulty with the powers that be might get overlooked by the national press when they have something with a bit more meat to chew on. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tell-whats-going-Blackburn.html#axzz2JqGQ4wRq
It will just be ignored OFH - the FA don't want anything to dent their image and risk the inflow of money. What did they do about Pompey?
Can't remember exactly. He came up with a completely bogus stat about his time at Watford and used that to justify saying that there's no way he's worth £5m. As far as Venky's are concerned, I refer everyone to my previous answer. The Blackburn owners are bumbling fools, no question. But I'll bet the reaction would have been less hostile if they were English. Perhaps I'm at risk of trivialising the r-word, so I'll stop using it. But am I wrong to suggest that prejudice plays some part in these things, on some level? Bassini got a better reaction in the first three months of his first full season than the Pozzos for goodness sake!
McLeish gone already; http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21338533 Must admit, deserves the owners right after sacking O'Driscoll seeming he was doing a pretty good job there!
Hope he had a good contract. 6 weeks to find out that the owners were not all they seemed to be. Beginning to lose track of how many have gone since the start of the year.
Couldn't agree more. What a difference in owner takeovers between Forest and us - theirs sacked a man they did not know with the aim of bringing in a "Hoddle" or some such and even when they had Sean O'Driscoll doing quite well sacked him - they are a clueless bunch and get what they deserve
Bristol City are going to be redeveloping their ground to make it 26,000 seater, and then they're going to share it with the Rugby team..poor buggers lol
I sent the story to one of my colleagues who supports Forest and her reply was that McLeish was there 40 days too long for her liking. I didn't ask her directly, but I think she would've preferred it if O'Driscoll had been kept and after last Tuesday, I couldn't agree more!
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...Seymour-Pierce-in-11th-hour-rescue-talks.html What has this to do with football I hear you ask. A financial company on the edge of going bust. It just happens that this company has put in a bid to buy Pompey. A week today the administrator is due in the High Court to get a ruling on the value of Fratton Park and if as many think the judge sides with the supporters trust they would then buy the club from the administrator. The current money man who holds a debenture has been told that he is not a fit and proper person to run the club, so who is this unnamed investor in the troubled finance company? If I was a betting person I would have my stake ready.
I'm not good at guessing, Frenchie, but if it's anything to do with Keith Harris, I think I know this one. Is it Orville?
He was involved at Them as well. Also the administrator (Brendan Guillfoile) the last time Them did a runner from their creditiors - is also trying to take control over the fans bid. Very very shady and the same names keep surfacing and still the administrators of the game in this country allow it..
Looks as if the FL have put the boot in. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21376866 Maybe they didn't like Orville.
