Love it, can't see it happening. There aren't many clubs he couldn't still play for regularly, I can't see him choosing Newcastle over Champions League football.

 

Does alright in his first year and by the second he won't have to choose.

As for Drogba, it would go against every change we've made since relegation to get rid of the older, depreciating value players who have come to us for one last big paycheque and give very little return. Although I think the last part wouldn't be true of Drogba, I just don't think we should break the new policies as that's when the trouble will start!

 

I'd give Chelsea 12m and offer Drogba 70k a week.

I don't think we should get rid of the wage cap, but raise it to 70k. 70k is a high wage, but it's still a wage CAP and should still keep order.

Lets face it we're not going to be able to sign the players we need to get in to Europa league if we keep our 50k wage cap, and Mike Ashley can afford to waste millions of pounds in less than an hour at Casinos.

I don't want people on 110k like Owen, but 70k seems like a decent wage cap for a team pushing in the top 10 and perhaps Europa.

Drogba would love it here, and i could see him being our number 9. I think this could also help keep Tiote for a long time and also perhaps convince Gervinho to come also.

It will be unwise to ignore the wishes of Tiote especially with his pal Drogba around. Gervinho should get his arse to Newcastle and sign other wise....

I agree with this but I wouldn't pay more than 5-6million for Drogba, even if if he did agree to £70k wages.

I'd rather have Drogba than Berbatov. Berba scores hatricks and then ****s off for 4 matches.

Drogba scores more often. I know he lost a bit of form after his illness but i reckon with regular starts on our team, instead of being on the bench for Torres, he can knock in around 15-18 a season.

5/6 million? No chance. He's worth more than that even if he's passed his prime. 12 mil is a good price.

 

I'm not sure. We'll have to consult the rule book.

What about if we signed him and Insomnia? We could merge them together and call it N'Drogbia. It would have Drogba's power, strength, aerial ability, experience and right foot, with N'Zogbia's pace, trickery, youth and left foot. We'd be unstoppable all we'd need to play is a simple 0-1-1 formation:

N'Drogbia
