im sorry for pratley, because he has a big place in our rise in recent years, but if i think about it,and im trying hard, the last player to leave us and go on to a REGULAR higer level, must have been sam rickets, cant think of anyone else.

Pratley was a good player for us and scored THAT goal against Forest. Should have stayed with us and fought for his place instead of chasing the cash - he will look back on his career and regret that move.

I miss Pratts, was a fantastic player for us. Would not be a first choice player now but could have done a decent job for us in the prem league as a squad player.I thought he could have been looked after better tbh.

You talking of Pratley but De Vries is in a worse position IMO as wolves are below Bolton, and he can only sit on the bench as his team slowly goes down the pan. Both played huge parts to our promotion push, both are on the verge of dropping down to the third tier of football. They will have regrets for sure.

Hmmm.... interesting because I believe it is a Pratley style player that we lack at the moment - someone who genuinely goes box to box and gets his foot in.

I'm not saying that Pratley is the man for us because we've moved on but, if he did come back, he'd do a job as a squad player in certain games because the extra quality we have now would improve his game as well. Lest we forget, he was the player that did all the midfield running for us and he chipped in with some valuable goals as well. He did a decent job for us but it was his decision to go which he must now regret.

Did you guys forget about Robinson? Of all the players he came across as the most eager to leave.

I don't agree he was 'average' musty. He was, as others have said, a major part of our promotion push. We shouldn't forget that. I take no joy in seeing honest players make wrong career decisions. We've probably all made choices we've regretted later.

I did laugh at Robinson though. :)

Phil, life is too short to hold grudges, particularly if it is beneficial for both parties to forget them. As for a cheeky bid, yes, I would do it so long as the money was right both in terms of a fee and wages. I reckon Pratley would play his heart out if he got the chance and he had a big heart. Useful squad player who would give us energy and options in midfield especially if we got into Europe.

If I remember right, his wages at Bolton were £16k a week (something we refused to pay then).

Who knows if he took a pay cut for the relegation? Yes, he 'could' do a job from the bench.....But can you see HJ paying those wages for someone who has not set the world alight since leaving, would not have caught MLs eye in any way, was never happy on the subs bench when he was here in the Championship and created so many headlines about it? No chance, I say!

Forever grateful for what he did for the club, but I think Dazzas days in a Swans shirt will be his only spell with us, and also his personal highlight reel when he looks back on his career.
