Not quite. Ben Haim captained Israel tonight, slightly earlier kick off....two international captains in the same team!
Cheers Col. It was good. The stadium's superb. We sat quite high up in the top tier, camera side. It's mind blowing to think how a full loftus road would occupy such a small proportion of Wembley, and that when on 85 mins, the place was half empty, there would still be enough people to fill anfield or Stamford bridge. It took us 1 hour 15 mins to get from our seats to the tube at the end of the game - they could do with sorting that out. Couldn't help cheering Cesar for everything good he did - definitely confused a few around me!
Dunno where you live Col but a mate at work gave me some great advice to get to Wembley for games. Park at Denham Station (or in the village is a 5 min walk) and the train only takes between 8-15mins to get to Wembley Stadium Getting out is pretty easy too and straight onto M40/M25. I'm now usually home before I would only be leaving the car park before.
What team mate? Or did you mean same night. Sorry if I sound pedantic, I just need clarification otherwise I won't sleep. I may have a touch of the OCD's. I don't think I am but it would be better if OCD was in alphabetical order. That my friend, could well be a good call.
Glad you had a good time mate. Been to Wembley a few times now and gotta admit I was very impressed. One of the best stadiums I've been to in the world ( Personal opinion of course but I have been to a few )
I used to have a flat next door to the arena in a new complex so know it inside out That aint bad advice as the further away the better only trouble with that is depends what area of the ground your sitting, the old bill normally direct people to the tube and block off that road leading to the denham line, I'm sure they make it up as they go along and I got caught up in it a few times coming back to the flat even though I lived under 5 mins walk. OB overkill always wins the day, staines.
Not really his Country though was it? Birch was about as Canadian as Greg Rusedski was British! One of my favourite "Irish" players in the last decade was Martin Rowlands and he was about as Irish as Tony Cascarino!
Never had a problem to be honest mate but don't doubt you at all. OB can sometimes be a bit pedantic, or so it seems. I used that route to go to the Arena to see 'Disney on Ice' a few weeks ago. Couldn't believe how it had changed around there with that new complex near the arena. Think the last time I was there was to see Audley Harrison's first pro fight.
Thanks for clearing that up friends. 'Not606 friends The Casacarino story is a classic, quite incredible really.
I lived in forum house, it was built on the grounds of the entrance to the orginal arena, literally next door. I'm back down there on March the 17th for frank warrens best of British albeit sku is busy that night http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2013/jan/14/dereck-chisora-licence-wembley
I was there the night he turned his leg. Bad injury. But you can't blame the lad for wanting to play International football surely? If I was a decent English player but knew I'd never make the grade, I'd play for a smaller Country too if I was eligible.
Not quite but was marching, the rest my friend your not privvy to as queens may get upset with me again.
