I get up at 5:50AM. It's a 12 hour 6AM-6PM shift on here. Same as most offshore platforms. Some ****s get up at 5 and go for breakfast then watch TV for a while. I get up at the last minute, skip breakfast and just eat whatever they put out during the 9AM break. Although yesterday it was half a roll with beans and cheese melted all over it. TV room smelled disgusting last night.
Everyone in the North Sea does 12 hour shifts. To be honest most folk work 14 or 15 hours out here. **** all else to do but earn some extra overtime money. Offshore guys get plenty of time off anyway. I get my two weeks off every month so I try and abuse the overtime hours to try and put my pay up by a few hundred quid if I can.
Thanks for the valuable advice, can always count on this place Predictably I chose to ignore it and try my own method of drinking the problem away. Didn't work.
B - I told you to perform the Valsalva maneuver. It's a legitimate way of unblocking your ears....... In fact it's just a ****y way of saying, yawn to equalise the pressure in your inner ear
Tried that Venom. No go. I'll try drinking again tonight because I must have done it wrong last night as I feel terrible today. LR mentioned olive oil which was an idea put forward by J-Celtic aswell. I'll wait until she goes and gets it
When I worked for BT we had to do a liability course and one of their rules were you can't call them "Deaf" it has to be "Hearing impaired" One boy pipes up and says "You can call them mush-mouthed spastics if you want, not like they can hear you"..... That was his last day obviously
PC nonsense. Soon nobody will be dead, just "living impaired". Rape "victims" are now "sexually assaulted". This is not the case, they should be called the "special chosen".
