Poachers can do well at lower levels, Odemwingie and Bent don't contribute much to the team apart from goals do they? Whilst players like them may be 1 dimensional they can still be very effective. Look at how Inzaghi and Raul have stayed at the top level of football for many years despite only being good at scoring goals. Besides I don't agree that his movement isn't good, look at what he does for this goal.

He won't have to adapt if United sign someone like Snjeider.

Hernandez has come with his own game, it will change, he needs more than anything right now to hit the weights and get some strenght, he is very weak physically and can't kick the ball that hard or hold it up, too easily muscled out.
Other fans were saying this and that about Torres and he got 29 and 11 in the CL and yet he was still knocked so it is normal for opposing fans to doubt Hernandez. My only concern is that he has turned in some pretty limp performances lately and am thinking it was all a bit of a honeymoon period for him, huge move n all that, so the proof is in the pudding, we can take this up at the end of next season

Limp performances lately? He won the penalty that got united the title on saturday and got the opener against Chelsea in the match before that! If you want to know what a limp performance looks like check out any of Nasri's bar the tottenham game in the last 2 months!

I get your angle swarbs, but at 22 he should be stronger, I was stronger on the ball at that age ffs and I was a keeper. It isn't only strenght, it is positional awareness when facing an opponent, Kuyt again yesterday shows us that even without great strenght and no pace he can go past players a lot quicker than him, out muscle players stronger than him, it is also quality and sharpness, look at his headed goals 6 yards out, one against ye too. hernandez had it in abundance whewn he arrived and slowly little bit by bit it has receded, much like a honeymoon period coming to an end, but who knows. He certainly needs to work on his finishing, crackin header of th eball, but his shooting and finishing need a lot of work, I guess it is a shame for him he didn't move earlier like at 16, he would be a much better player by now, he is comparable in strenght to a lot of 16yo reserve players which is kind of shocking really
In refering to Torres I was defending Hernandez to a degree, he is gonna be knocked.
re tiredness, this could be that, he is only 22 remember, when you are 22 you can play every week. Giggs has put in a shift this season and he's how old? It could e that tiredness or it could be deflation, the high from the move has finally subsided. Emotional high and the work leave you more tired than than just the normal physical activities alone, he was very poor against Blackburn, Torres poor as it seems whewn they both have issues with their A game, they have nowt else but I agree it is far too early to judge Hernandez. You can only really visit this again next may I suppose.
P.S. i would be very happy with his return on 6m and that's the bottom line

I was on the yernited board and they point blank refused to acknoledge the clear video evidence of Hernandez tryin to drag is leg over the keeper and that the keeper clearly pulled his hands back and Hernandez travelled another 3 feet before actually going down never mind that the ball was practically out before the contact, light as it was, was made. So I agreed to disagree, much like Berba when he took another step wit the foot that was supposedly taken from under him and then goes down., Webb again at his best yesterday, he let a shoulder charge at utd che go and he gives a pen for one yesterdaywhen it wasn't even in the area and it wasn't a foul either, Webb is one of the worst refs out there, he is afraid of decisions and when he finally gets the nuts up to make one, it is wrong wrong wrong, the WC final performance by this guy was incompetent at best

I like Webb, he is a good ref. In the world cup final what was he supposed to do? It is the biggest sporting occasion in the world, he has to deal with 1 team's gameplan being about making niggly fouls and the other reacting to this by over the top play acting, and on top of this he can't hear anything because of all those ****ing vuvuzelas. What ref in the world could deal with that?
As with any job, you have a set of rules to follow balanced with good judgment depending on the situation. Firstly, everyone knew the game plan the Dutch ware going to employ, as such he should have got a hold of the game early he didn't hence letting karate kicks go unproperly punished, again that fear of making a big decision. He was only there because of the non goal, football politics, a token gesture because of the goal that wasn't after all the media attention about goal line technology in England and around the world, that was very embarrassing for FIFA and Blatter and they make that gessture. The Japanese ref was I reckon by a fair stretch the best ref at the games, he was calm, in control, took no cr@p and stuck to his guns, he was very good indeed, I remember being impressed by him long before the final and was sort of surprised when he didn't get the final but understood FIFA and the political BS, it always means not the "best man for the job", its "Yes man for the job"
I don't know how many people would agree with me,but I believe that during the summer months referees must go back to school and be taught how to referee.The teacher.....Pierluigi Collina.He was the best in the business,There is no-one currently anywhere near his standard.

Speaking of the ref master, once seen players start surround him, and he shoves the nearest one away and tells the rest Beat it, and you know what, they did without a word. Great ref, didn't play politics though and like all humans was prone to error, but very rarely, definately the best ref to have worn the whistle
I will say this to the strength part and i can vouche for it as well. If Hernandez bulks up, he will lose his quickness and top end speed. Torres did ( I know he had injuries but he got too big as well). Torres was lightning when he first came over, now not so much. Part of it injury but a lot to do with :bulking: up. Not every player needs to bulk up for the prem as some players rely or their strengths are speed, agility, quickness.
By all means, some weights will help, but not benching 200 pounds or what most people think of when bulking up. I remember having to stop lifting for a while as I had lost my engine and my quickness for awhile. Kept eating right, changed the work out routine and viola back came my engine and I felt light on my feet again.

some players are meant to be tricky, speedy, agile, nimble, etc. I bet David Silva should Bulk up as he is really crap.... maybe if mata comes over he needs to get those biceps bigger because his skill and agility is just not going to cut it.....
