I have been informed from a reliable source (same one who told me about Dowie, Warnock,Parejo tarbs and Rout's deal) that there is a proposal for a 40% increase on all season Tickets...

the delay is because they know a 40% increase will cause uproar amongst fans that have had to put up with crap facilities for donkeys years.

From memory QPR were the most expensive in the Championship this season, and all that money for rubbish facilities - no legroom and limited view of the pitch!

I guess the money men will say with only half the capacity they will need to charge silly money to keep up with other Prem teams. Will they reduce the prices by the same factor when relegation hits in 12 months? And £35m losses in the last 2 years needs to be paid by someone!

Guys I'm not particularly anti QPR, its just the last couple of times I've been with mates who are R's (in the away end I must add).

Since the takeover by the "billionaires" Loftus Road has become the most expensive away ground. And all for what? If you're upstairs you're not sure if the ball has crossed the line (and the legroom is rubbish). If you're downstairs anything outside the near area is a mystery (and the legroom is rubbish).

Is the money worth it - NO. By the way look out for the daily admission costs. When we got promotion in 2005 a mate told me daily admission would go up to £35, for a while the club denied this, but it came true. Next season your daily admission will be over £40 and you should try justifying that to the missus when the children want to go too.

If only your owners actually put some of their OWN money into the club!

By the way Sooper, you are the only one thinking QPR will be competing at the top end of the table. You need to be realistic if you're going to do anything.

I was very impressed with the leg room at Watford, it'll be a nice ground when it's finished!;)
But seriously, you make some fair points, don't tell me you don't hate QPR though!

We weren't the most expensive but we were up there. Ipswich was scandalous and Norwich a bit more than us too. Even Palace charge £30 for that wooden stand whilst adults can get in the away end at Loftus Rd for £25 (in the lower tier) which is the same as at Watford and many clubs.

I expect it to be £40 for individual tickets which would be £760 for 19 games so probably £700 for the season ticket in 'gold' areas.

We do have a problem in that we can't get much more than 18000 through the gate so it'll be incredibly difficult to compete when even the likes of Wolves and West Brom have 10000 more than us every week. Long-term if we can establish ourselves then a new stadium will be needed but short-term there will always be enough of us mugs willing to spend silly money.

Elixir, I was commenting about competeing on admission charges, Arsenal & Chelski are top of that particular league which I'd be happy to be bottom of....

My chief concern is that football should be decent and entertaining. I have just renewed 4 season tickets for just under £700, my Dad 2 kids and me. For my money that's pretty good value.

I need to justify the cost to my missus that I take us all out for that kind of money and give the ladies "time off" 23 games per season. We see decent, entertaining football at the Vic, but don't want a bunch of prima donnas telling us how good they are.

We are all realistic enough to know that QPR's bubble won't last as we all remember the disaster they had in the late 90's and the slow recovery.

Good luck in the Prem, but don't come crying when Warnock turns sour, and your owners threaten to close the club down when they've had enough. What comes around, goes around and we look forward to beating West Ham (again).

Elixir69: What a saddo you realy are you can only dream about entertaining football while we will be dining at the top table, we may throw you the odd bone now & then but get used to another season of 2nd grade football. Jealously is not a trait to be proud off

As I said earlier he hates QPR, but I wonder who he'd rather have running his club our owners or his?
    We're a club going places.

Ideally I guess I'd want something in between. Our ticket prices weren't as scandalous as some made out although the platinum/gold/silver/bronze thing was a bit of a joke as well as designating the Lower Loft the family stand which together worsened the atmosphere in my opinion.

Unfortunately the way football is today the only way to break the top six, which we are far from doing right now, is to spend stupid money which will generally have to come from a foreign investor which always carries the risk of him pissing off when he gets bored. However, I'd rather see us have a crack at it risking failure and a decline than languish in the second or third tier forever as would probably have happened if Bhatia et al hadn't turned up.
