Welbecks only advantage over Walcott is his link up play.

agree. With Walcott being the much better of the two.

Throw me into the mix and you've got 3 different players.

not really , both are good at the moment
Walcott could be faster ... but Welbeck work harder for the team
beside Welbeck is improving better than Walcott who had relatively a slower development rate despite playing twice as much games
and don't forget that Welbeck is 1.5 years younger too

Sir Alex like his work rate and pace he got, this is why he play him ahead of our wingers or Chicha at many occasions
and he is more physical too than walcott
he has some brain too to pass balls around faster

Last season Walcott played wide and Welbeck only scored one more goal than him?

Season before that, Walcott outscored Welbeck playing wide...

he's got no ability whatsoever in my opinion, average player and will never be able to turn a game on it's head like Walcott can. You ask any football fan who doesn't support United and they'll say Walcott is better.

serious question matt, I wanna know the levels of delusion.

Firstly I wasn't talking about Welbeck, I was on about Zaha potentially being as good as Messi. Secondly, things like that often come back to bite you in the arse (remember last season) and finally Welbeck is complete and utter pony.

Defoe, Rooney, Walcott and Sturridge are far better. Although I do agree that he links up well with Rooney and that is the only positive I can say.
