You have proven it yet again. You just don't get it so let me explain to you. When we had an influx of international players the coverage was mostly negative you can only deny this unless you are blind. Yes it's been discussed and yes people have mentioned it but not in the same way we were berated. I have mentioned the reasons for this and the agenda against Wenger during this period. It's old news to be honest but I was just stating it to prove an obvious point. Also never yank another mans chain it's never a good idea unless that's your thing!?
Bergkampspilot is absolutely right that there was an agenda against Wenger when he had a mostly foreign XI. Just look at this hypocrite: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4792270.stm
Even Gordon Taylor's quoted remark in the link was crass, the Arsenal players he was belittling were contributing to his massive wages and lavish lifestyle.
Good thing the BBC keeps all it's old news. To be honest, the main club that has had sustained success fielding English players has been Man U, and then Chelsea to a lesser degree. That was down to them having the best English players playing for them. Arsenal haven't had a top English player since Wilshere emerged for quite some time. The last time Arsenal were truly successful was when they had a number of top English players playing for them. The truth is buying foreign is better value for money. Just imagine if Cazorla was British, or if Wilshere was available to buy, they would go for in excess of £20m+ minimum. Man U had to fork out top dollar (bought and not developed) for all their top British players, that no one else in the league could afford. We would never have been successful without buying great valued foreign players. Henry, Bergy, Viera, Pires etc all within our means and world class footballers. Had they been English, it would have been impossible for us to afford, even a few of them.
