seems to me (with my cynic hat on) that Ashely still gets all the profits from shirt sales, but less is attributed to the club, so the club has a lower turnover and he doesnt have to reinvest as much.

Probably a sneaky way for Ashley to make more money directly. He can lower the sports direct prices and increase the club shop prices to make sure that more people buy through sports direct, so the money bypasses the club and the profit goes directly to him.

Dont Sports Direct also have the new Chelsea top out which will be cheaper than buying it from Chelsea's club shop. It's just the way SD is run I'm afraid and this was the case before Ashley was in charge maybe not as quickly as it is this year though.

Nowhere else charges £50 for the shirt at the club shop though. Checked Liverpool and Chelsea and their's are both £45. Also, just seen the new Chelsea goalkeeper shirt, looks really nice IMO:

Question, I am ordering it over the net from SD. I usually buy it after I have tried it on, but a large seems to have been OK in the past so I am just going to get it over the net. If by any chance the size is wrong and doesn't fit, am I able to just take it into a store and exchange it?

Why not buy it from the store? If it's cheaper online, pop into a store, try it on and then buy it online. ;)

    Wow that's unreal.
I don't understand how we can hike the price up when our kit sponsers are Puma and we charged the cheaper for Addidas, quite shocking really!

I had the mis-fortune of working at SportsDirect for a year, but yes, you can do that. You'd be better off just buying it in store though, save yourself the delivery charge and you'd be able to try it on.

I want it before the weekend and can't be bothered to go to a store <laugh>

Just wondering if I can exchange it if it doesn't fit?

Add one more. Really like that they've made the badge the same colour as the stripes, sponsor etc. I'd previously probably have said ours was too complicated to do that, but the fancy gold ones proved me wrong.

Leazes I think thats the case, though I'd recommend just popping to the shop pre game Sunday to save the hassle. Not applying for the fancy members one?
