And 'arry turning Remy's head with oodles of filthy lucre was sportsmanship? We at Norwich (And Swansea)had to put up with QPR giving it large before a ball was kicked this season. They were going to soar away into the top six and we were both going to struggle according to them.Well lads it didn't turn out that way did it?

Clearly, from QPR's point of view, signing Remy was about survival, not greed. From Remy's point of view, the decision seems to have been a monetary one. He owed us no loyalty, though, so why not ?

I think the sentiments that have driven the worst spirited posts from our supporters are:

    a. disappointment that a player who we had thought we had secured didn't arrive (a natural reaction)

    b. a feeling of hurt that anyone can prefer to play for anyone but NUFC (which would be laughable except that, as with all supporters, there is no other club for us except Newcastle, and deep down we can't help but feel everyone should feel the same)

    c. dislike for your manager (which is simply a personal preference)

I agree with you though that revelling in anyone else's misfortune is issuing a gold embossed invitation to any cosmic force of irony that may be payng attention

It's always been a point in our favour that supporters of other teams have felt able to come on our forum to post knowing they can enter into a fair discussion, this thread definitely not being put into that category,
Remy's injury was unforseen, and extremely unfortunate, and should never be gloated over, it's not as if QPR have bought a dud, so saying he didn't look as though he was trying is just silly, don't we keep excusing our own 'importees' saying they need time to settle.

I hope you know QPR offered him the same money as Newcastle, thats a fact and came direct from Tony Fernandes. He chose QPR for footballing reasons.

Most of the QPR posts aren't wumming. Generally they're saying that is unbecoming of a football supporter to take pleasure from a player being injured. That is a legitimate opinion.

"“The finance doesn’t come into it at all because Newcastle offered me a very good contract as well,” Remy said."

The whole mercenary thing is dreamt up by your fans to deflect attention away from the fact that little old QPR beat "massive" Newcastle to a signing.
Same thing happened with Samba, he took a 1/3rd pay cut to sign for QPR but that didnt stop all the papers reporting he was on 100k/week.

Where does he say they offered the same contract?

£50k per week is a good contract, but £80-90k a week is much better <ok>

The same Norwich who flooded our board wanting us to get a 15 point deduction because they were not good enough to go up as Champions? You are the muppet who continually trolls our board and posts nothing but bitter crap. Get back to bed with your sisiter you inbred five fingered freak.

It would seem that my post caused a bit of a stir! So to all you QPR WUMS coming on here I thought I'd set the record straight!

I would never wish ill of a player from the aspect of "I ****ing hope someone snaps his legs" type of thing, it just tickled me and I found it quite ironic that he's now injured when he's been brought in to help your team stay up. The fact that he was on his way to sign for us means that of course some of our fans are gonna be monitoring his situation with interest to see how decent he is, and whether or not we dodged a bullet when he couldn't be arsed to get out of his hotel room down there to come up and conclude the deal with us. Am I the only toon fan to be a tad amused by his misfortune....I very much doubt it. I also doubt much whether or not he will actually be that bothered about not playing, but again, maybe that's just the impression I get of the guy...I don't know him from Adam...but if you throw enough ****, some is bound to stick at some point .... As your dodgy ****ing manager has found out all too often.

I hated candleface when he was at spurs, I hated him when he was at Portsmouth and i still hate him now....I just ****ing hate him generally. He's bad for the game, and he ****ing ruins just about everything he touches....and then blames it on Rosie the dog !

This is a football forum where we all come on here from time to time to vent our spleens and share our opinions. You're entitled to yours also, I might not agree with them but I will certainly respect them cos they are your opinions and to expect the same in return I don't think is too much to ask.

As long as I have a hole in my arse I will say what I feel, you have the right of course to say what you feel, but as well as this you are also free to leave the board at any time you wish, so if you don't like what you're reading on here then jog on back to your own board.

    Ends.

I'd be quite prepared to go out on a limb here and take a wild stab in the dark that I will not hear a more stupid comment for the rest of the year!
