Please do not put the words crocked and Luke in the same sentence...he is slightly less than perfect.
Assuming Clyne, Shaw and Gaston out this is my team; -----------------------Boruc------------------------ Richardson-------Forren-------Yoshi----------Fox ---------------Spider----------Cork---------------- Puncheon--------Lallana---------------Davis -----------------Lambert-------------------------- J Rod to come off the bench. Chaplow also on bench. Not sure who else to include, if Guly still out we are very light.
Poor old Fox. He's really not that bad, a couple of shocking performances at the start excepted. Davis to play LM to help out fox in a more defensive role, lallana to play in the hole where he thrives.
And how do you know? I have no doubt that he will be better than Fox in the future but as no one has seen him play in the PL obviously, you can't say he is better than Fox.
Have to agree, I wouldn't mind giving him a go, but playing against City would be too much to ask of him.
We should have bought a top notch LB to compete with shaw, send target out on loan to L1 to toughen him up and give him game time. Has anyone seen Target play?
So then we would have Shaw, Fox, Targett and another top quality left back? That makes real sense....
Target on loan. Fox off (although I'm not as down on him as most on here). That leaves Shaw and a top (slightly more established LB). By the time shaw leaves for Arsenal Targett should be up and running. Make more sense? Everyones Fox bashing but does its really sound sensible to have 2 promising but inexperienced LB's in the prem?
Who says he's going to go to Arsenal. If/when we do sell him he will be going to a better club than Arsenal. He's not going anywhere for a good few years yet.
That is why you don't run or manage a football club I'm afraid. If we had a top quality back up at left back you end up either: A - risk him being unsettled B - stifling Shaw's development C - have an alternating defence None of these are really a good idea, Fox is more than capable of being a back up for this season & probably next. By this time we could move him on, perhaps sooner depending on Targetts development. In about a years time Targett should be ready to challenge with Shaw who will be a top quality left back at Saints, so then we will have 3 left backs (Targett, Shaw & another good left back) which is quite ridiculous. I'm not sure where you're getting this Arsenal link from as well, that's old 'news'.
