I'm living in a world where we need someone to score goals. At present, if Remy is out till April and DJ has been loaned out, we are left with Mackie, Bothroyd and Zamora, who can only play for 30 minutes per game. Cisse is our joint top scorer.
Well that's a far more reasonable position to take than what you was saying earlier! I can see the merit in that point of view but personally I think he'd be worse than useless with us now. If he couldn't do it all season, he ain't gonna start now and his bone idleness would go against the current work ethic in the side. I hope to never see him in Hoops again.
I'd have liked to see him try to prove everyone wrong. Better than a half fit Zamora and certainly better than Betty playing with one leg tied to the other.
Col....He didn't try vs MK Dons...It was extremely embarrassing. I fully accept Mackies shortcomings...but he tries...and got us a penalty on Saturday (QUOTE Col...that Cisse would have scored) Life has dealt us a poor hand recently, but I for one do not want Cisse back, and feel even if we got him back...would he try any harder than he has been...no, why should he. And don't say it is because we slag Cisse off....a large minority of you lot have been slagging Hill and Derry off for a year now...and they seem to come out week after week simply to show the detractors that they are wrong
I don't remember saying that Cisse would have scored the penalty? I've been a huge supporter of both, especially Derry, who I have been repeatedly saying is our best holding midfielder. Point is Beth, I would have got rid of Bothroyd and DJ before Cisse.....just my opinion. How do you know Cisse wouldn't have kept trying? He always looked like he wasn't trying last season too. Remember last season? Remember his goals?
FFS Betty, it was WBA away! And he came off saying he had "tummy cramp" COL you make a fair point to be honest. I just flat out don't like the chap. Still, maybe he would be better than nothing right now.
So either joe Jordan was telling porkies about the 'slight' strain or the papers are talking crap again? They said it happened kicking a ball at the end of training, I'm no expert but serious tears are surely more likely to be whilst running flat out or over stretching rather then taking a shot which would seem to be more like a 'slight' strain injury type event! Most reports tend to be just recycled rubbish from one rag to the next, until official I'm not going to worry too much, back for utd match I think!
I'd like to believe you, but if it was good news, wouldn't the club have come out and said it by now, especially as the results of tests were expected today?
Joe Jordan already told 5 live that it was a slight strain, unless anything had changed then why would they say it again? I'd rather let the teams around us and Swansea up next think he is crocked and then chuck him out as a suprise. Also can't see that they would send DJ out on loan if Remy is out for months.
I have to say I'm expecting the worse, very risky strategy relying on one striker in the transfer window.
Latest stories suggest he was clinically dead before we signed him. Sailed through the 4 hour medical though.
I'm starting to feel that we don't need any better strikers we just need to bloody supply the ball to the ones we have!! Any of them will score more if the ball is put through on goal or into the box more often.
Still no official quotes just pure speculation by the journos Can the official channels just us out of our misery ffs
