Except I didn't. I was responding to another reply of yours where you'd tried to reinvent the truth. I pointed out that the thread you reckon I'd tried to hide still existed and the childish way of dealing with it would have been bans which clearly haven't happened and, by dint of y description and the existence of this thread show they're not liable to. I thought pointing out the fact this is a busy board but has few bans helped clarify that. Have you actually got a valid argument? I don't mind sitting here batting back your silly insults and attempts at twisting the truth I feel it's a public service, but can you liven it up a bit because it's bleeding boring right now.

This board has gone down the nick since this **** was banned off CI and started posting **** on here. No coincidence the biggest multi poster off there is now infecting this board and we seem to have gained a load of new knobheads since.

Except he's not off Ci as far as I know, isn't my mate (I've had a few arguments with him) and he's not as far as I can tell a multi-poster. I seem to recall you claiming it was EGD Wright off CI? As far as I'm aware he isn't. And EGD's not banned off there anyway.

Dutch , Ive watched this from a neutral point of view... mistake number 1 - don't get involved when people don't like certain "fans" .. let people without mod tags deal with it and enjoy the number of posts ... mistake number 2 - closing thread number 1 .. what did you expect ? ... mistake number 3 and ongoing - stop getting into 1 v 1 battles with members who post on here often ... its their forum more than yours to a point .. your a mod .. you have to show restraint and let things go . if you cannot . then you need to look at letting the mod status go ... none of them broke rules apart from abuse to you (for which I applaud you not using the banhammer ) ... and for those others reading this .. Dutch is a decent guy on this board and on CI when he was on there ... how about everyone cut each other some slack instead of points scoring and trying to be "bigger than the mod" ,.. or "bigger then a couple of posters on here" ..
and to clarify , I think the goolies are absolute grade A ****s ... but that's my opinion but each to their own and I applaud their commitment to going to as many matches as they do ...

I read that and had heard it before hand anyway. It doesn't change anything in my opinion. If you get jumped next home game are you a thug? 1. I don't see getting involved as a mistake, unless you feel a mod can't have an opinion. 2. I don't see closing the thread as a mistake. It had gone as far as it was going to in my opinion, but I left it readable with an option of opening it again if an adequate request was made via pm to any mod. 3. I don't see it as a battle and I've said numerous times on various threads that I see myself as a cleaner on here and that users decide the tone of the board. 4. As for restraint, this thread is an example of that restraint. I'm offering the opportunity to people to comment on the decision I made. The thread in question is open to enable that opinion to be better informed. Abuse doesn't bother me at all. The people that use it, tend to need it because they realise their argument doesn't stand up. This thread was always going to go one way. The alternative was to be high handed and say it was my way or the highway. I feel comfortable explaining why I've done something. I'm human I'll get things wrong and I'll do things not everyone agrees with, but I do try to do things because I feel it's right for the board, not because it's right for me. That needs the checks and balances of people feeling free to comment on and criticise my actions as a mod. One thing I'm concious of is that the tail shouldn't wag the dog. My function is to try to keep the board running smoothly in a way that suits the majority of users. Generally we do this discretely in the background.
Likewise. I'll just put every post you make in here with no malice at all. That's a joke btw. As I put in the other post, I've no problem with people questioning my actions. I'd prefer it done by PM to save cluttering the board, but I'd also prefer to be a multi-millionaire but life's a bitch.
