No. There will be some mitigation somewhere. if it was one of the big boys you can bet your bottom dollar that the smaller guys will take the fall. The whole Champions league concept was debased years ago when they rigged it to ensure that 4 teams went into it each year from England , Spain , Italy and Germany.

European Cup used to be a truly great competition - champions only, sudden death, no dragging on for months. Obviously not enough money in it for TV and and the dominant clubs. ****ers.There are loads of dead matches now, no surprise if some were bent.
Agreed. Not only has it ruined our domestic Cups, it has been devalued by allowing so many teams to qualify. CHAMPIONS league my arse!!
