  1. 9 goals in ALL comps.

6 in the league. 2 against Sunderland in the 5-1 including a pen, 2 against Wigan, 1 against Wolves, and a pen against Brum. I'm not saying these goals don't matter, but we need strikers that can score against any team, not just the **** ones!

He's scored 2 pens, and 1 tap in from about 1 yard which was unmissable and it wasn't due to his effort that he got the goal. He's only scoed 3 goals from pure quality. Our other strikers all work their bollocks off and all work well with the team. Shola ****s up all the time and is lazy as ****.

As i've said, if he's just technically ****e, i wont hate him, but if he's just plain lazy and can't be bothered, i don't respect them. If Shola loved the club that much he'd try harder, not take his first place spot for granted.

The bloke scores the odd goal, but his work rate is disgraceful. All our other strikers all put in a shift, where as Ameobi hopes for a quality ball to come in and for him to nod it home.

He gives teams something to worry about, which can then give someone else space to run into. if he gets one on sunday then it's 10 goals overall for him in the season, not a bad haul for a 'crap' striker.

The bloke is not the solution but he is not the problem!
He is the best we have at the moment and throughout his time here has filled in when we've lost our better players through injuries and sales
The bloke is the best/ 2nd best we have at the moment and I do not want to be in a situation next year where one injury and we're forced into playing ranger
He played whilst wearing an eye mask where it was reported that one blow could have had serious implications on his site
and when it looked like relegation may have been forthcoming
He scored an IMPORTANT GOOD HEADER against wolves and helped to give us a point against Wigan
    As i've said numerous times
I do not think the bloke is a great player
But I would hate to have sold him next year and be in a position where we are playing youngsters at front when it's important

  4. Don't include his cup goals man. He was playing against a reserve team and a league 2 team.

In the league where we really needed the goals, he's gotten 6 goals and as i said, only 3where due to his efforts. 2 were pens and 1 was an unmissable tap in from 1 yard.

  5. Well i'm sorry but i don't like seeing lazy, bone idle players getting starting positions that they do not deserve.

Ok I'm not comparing this Bloke to Shola (AT ALL) because he is far superior
But Rud van nistelrooy- Kind of a lazy bloke? but scored tons
    However as I've said
I would hate to have sold Shola
Then get to Jan next year having bought 2 world class strikers (we can dream) then have both of them injured and either best or lover not fully fit/suspension anything
Then have to call upon a young lad when it is important instead of Shola who is consistent

Demba Ba is good but we have had enough players that spend too much time on the treatment table and I think our physios deserve a rest next year.

  8. He's made 27 apps and scored 6, and as i said, only 3 are really that credible in my opinion. Penalties shouldn't gain someone a spot in the first team, and 1 of his goals, even though it was a winning goal, wasn't really just Shola's goal, it was Barton's effort all the way, and it spilled out of the keepers hands and Shola tapped it in from 2 yards.

He's not consistant. And the fact that you compare him to Rud Van Nistelroy is a joke. It's like comparing Shefki Kuqi to Shearer. Completely different universes.

It's not a comparison in the sense of there quality but RVN was not a sprinter
You would not see him closing people down and he scores tons of goals
So in your opinion as you said that you don't want players who don't look like they're giving 100% so by that logic you would'nt have had RVN?

stay away from Ba, he failed a medical due to his dodgy knees. The hammers bought him without passing one.. It's only a matter of time before he breaks down - imo

Demba Ba, about £5m would do. Wouldn't want to invest too much in him if he has a dodgy injury record.

As for Shola, thought he did well in the first half yesterday. Less so in the 2nd half, looked a bit knackered. Don't know if we changed our tactics and told him to stay wide as he was standing on the wing a lot. Didn't really get into the box. Maybe to try and contain Chelsea who had a good spell in the second half. I'd keep him, decent squad player when called upon.

Yeah Pardew obviously rates Shola, whether he assumes the fans like seeing locals play and is trying to get on their good side or whether he actually thinks that Shola is good enough and just needs the play time is anybodys guess. Either way I don't see him in a part exchange for Ba, I can't even see Shola playing for another club ever, he'll probably end his career with us and tbh as much as I wish we'd stop playing him because he is lazy/crap, I don't want him to go - it just wouldn't be the same without him would it?

Ba would be a good signing but if he were the main striker signing it wouldnt be a good thing.

I'm going to make the assumption that you hate Andy Carroll for not showing loyalty tash but why should a player show loyalty when the fans won't show loyalty back?

On the RVN point are you going to say his goals "weren't credible" because they were tap ins, a goal is a goal mate they all count the same

The point i was trying to make is that Tash suggested that he wouldn't want a player who wasnt appearing to give 100%
I pointed that RVN wasn't a great runner he was just in the right place at the right time
So I just asked the question to Tash whether the effort was more important than the reward?

Sorry mate my point was directed at tash as well who said Sholas goals "weren't credible" because they were pens and tap ins.

Shola is pretty poor but he shouldn't be sold because the man wants to play for the team, we can either have real quality but no loyalty or proper loyalty but not as much quality, you won't find both in many modern players.

    True
He's not a great footballer but he has stuck with us and he scores the occasional useful goal!
I hope neither him or lover are near starters next year but as backup for us they are good

This, I got top scorer in my league I play in for 23 goals, about 16 were tap ins, we won the league by 3 goals. They all count.

Did anyone hear about the brawl that broke out at the* West Ham end of season dinner party? Apparently started* by Demba Ba refusing to sign an autograph for a fan. I* don't blame him. The last time he signed something* he ended up playing for West Ham.
