Steve Walsh, one of the best in the business.

Doesn't get it right every single time but he doesn't half unearth some rough diamonds.

    Top bloke as well.

Yeah, no wonder Jose Mourinho had him at Chelsea.

He was the one who brought (one of) Chelsea's biggest ever heroes to their club, too.

Micky Carroll, the fat bin man who won £12,000,000 on the lottery spent all his money on prossies and ching.

    He's on Jobseekers now.

Personally, behind Newcastle's scout, I think Steve Walsh is the best scout in football!

Walsh has the edge for me as he didn't spawn Alan Carr.

Don't forget we had an Everton Carr in the early 1980's!

Though you could argue that those players are better known - Ba had a season in the premier league, Sissoko and Cabaye already had france caps and Cisse arrived with a good record. Cracking signings though.

Walshy lived in the same cul-de-sac as me when he was at Hull City.

He really does put some graft into his trade and was always flying off all over the place to check out potential signings.
It's no fluke he finds these players.

He's got an excellent network of scouts and to coin a phrase really knows his onions.

I can also say that he is an absolutely smashing bloke, really down to earth.

Unlike the bellend who lived in the house before him.

    Phil Brown.

Taylor did live in the same house( it was long term rented by the club) but that was before I moved into my current house.

My next door neighbours reckoned Taylor was actually a top bloke and would always stop for a chat.
