Not from what i saw. Haven't seen a replay yet so could be wrong but what i thought on first watch was that AP delivered him to that obstacle in the completely wrong position. When i see a replay i'll have chance to rethink if i am wrong.
That dosent look good.... Was coming to win the race very easily, not that they will care if he dosent get back up.
Redolent of Golden Cygnet...hacking up on the heels of the then Champion Hurdler and falling fatally at the final flight. So sad..that horse had such potential.
Rock on Ruby will come on for that. Would have been a decent run even if the fav had stayed on his feet and won like we expected. The Quinn horse doesn't have a chance in the Champion. I think he could be a good second or third to Oscar Whiskey at Aintree over 2 m 4f.
His jumping through the race was class, havent seen a horse that fast over its hurdles since the young Binocular, I think we just lost the Champion Hurdle winner.
I felt so sick when he fell I had to turn it off. It was obvious he wasn't getting up again. Still feel sick. I agree we have lost what would have been the 2013 Champion Hurdle winner. Why the **** does this happen? Not sure I can take any more falls like that to be honest. RIP to a brilliant young hurdler. Commiserations to all connections. Absolutely gutted.
AP stands himself down. Can't say I blame him, I'm sickened by Darlan's death, he must be more so. RIP Darlan
Absolutely devastated by what has happened. Had become one of my favourite horses in training and to lose him like that is awful. I agree that we have just lost the 2013 champion hurdle winner. R.I.P. Darlan
