This is. a joke, isn't it. If we were to loan him it would surely be to a Championship team. He's too good for League One
I'd rather see him getting time with a bigger club, but any game time for him I think is good, after all... League One didn't do much bad for Schneiderlin, Lallana, Lambert et al, did it?
I'd be disappointed if we even loaned him out right now. With our absent list of: Clyne Fonte Forren Ramirez Do Prado We kinda need the guy around. We can't keep loaning people out as we have no replacements. We won't have a decent bench at all.
Complete rubbish, in my opinion, unless there is a specific requirement to bring him on with intensive games. He even came on as a sub against Wigan. Aside from the caveat I suggested, what's the point of loaning out a player who is going to get significant minutes of a game in the PL anyway..?
Well if true it will hopefully give him a lot more experience of 1st team football........There is clearly a different school of thought though as at the start of the season he was playing regular in place of Corky. Poch clearly feels he needs more competitive games to sharpen him up perhaps. Always assuming that the Mirror report is true of course. Still, all the top teams do it don't they? My only worry is if he goes to Coventry and he is just on their bench, he could do the same here for us and gain just as much experience but at a higher level.
feel it would be a good move for him, don't rate him very highly although potentially he could become anything of course. If he plays every game for coventry for a month he will come back a better player than if he makes one or two substitute appearances for us.
With no disrespect to Coventry, he's far better than League One standard. Thought he was great for us when he played, sadly, Cork and Morgan are class.
Yeah but personally I feel regular starts are better than hanging around the fringes getting off the bench every now and then. Then there's the case for toughening players up in the lower divisions and really challenging them, might help JWP who's certainly a fairly diminutive chap, so who knows, he might leave a boy and come back a man! Schneiderlin has also referenced several times that he feels playing in League One helped him become the player he is. I do doubt the legitimacy of the rumour, but still, I'd be relatively happy if he went there... Providing he was the first name on their team sheet every game and they were forever grateful!
Why are we suddenly so quick to slate League 1 as beneath our youngsters? As I recall, the standard of football was often quite good. Certainly gave a boost to Oxtail-Chamberpot's career. Don't think we can spare him, though.
Think that's the point Archers. Nothing against Coventry but our bench is looking light enough already.
Because you'd think playing at a higher standard of football would help a player's development, and many of us believe JWP would, or should, get just as much football in the Championship as in League One.
Whenever I've seen him play PL games the game just seems to pass him by a bit, but he did make an impact against Wigan. If he does go that must mean Pochettino is happy with Chaplow as our 4th CM.
