    Was it **** as like.

It was a dive, for which he was rightly booked & he even apologised for it on the pitch.

Yeah, through bright rose coloured beer goggles.

It was a dive, the type of which were it Ashley Young you'd be outraged by.

 there'd be numerous threads on the Liverpool board about it! BBF would lose the plot!

I actually listened to it on Talk Sport, rather than watched it (until MOTD later). The commentators thought there was contact. As I've said, when I saw it, I felt he made a meal of it, but I thought it was a foul. If you don't agree, that's fine. It's your prerogative. I don't want a ****fight about it. OK?

I'd had a couple of smokes and about 6 pints by the way, boots <ok>

So when you heard it on the radio you thought, nailed on penalty.

He went down in installments, the back arching was worth 8 for artistic merit.

Cynical and argumentative. Nice combo <ok> The commentators weren't sure at first, but said it was on reviewing the replay. When I watched it on MOTD, it looked like a foul. That's all.

Pray tell how you plan to win the WCC next season without winning the CL this season? <whistle>

I always rated Sturridge when he was at Chelsea - never understood why they didn't give him a chance through the middle when Torres was playing so ****. Always assumed it must be his attitude off the field / in training, which his actions since joining Liverpool do seem to support. Wonder what will happen when he hits a bit of bad form for Liverpool and has to be dropped / rotated / benched for a bit.

    On my bookshelf <ok>

Been ill the last week or so, so had other things to worry about. Don't worry, it's still in perfect condition and I do still read it on occasion.

Fine. Don't forget where its real home is. What was it? A cold or something more severe?

He was one of the most selfish and frustrating players at Chelsea.

At Liverpool he seems more of a team player.

Obvious difference though. To be greedy and everything is set into the Chelsea way.

    Even more frustrating than Torres?

To be fair much of my rating him comes from when he was playing at Bolton, when he was again playing like a team player. So maybe jaffa is right about greed and selfishness being the Chelsea way...

I've had flu once in my life. Always makes me laugh when people say they've got flu when they're standing up talking to you. If you've got flu you're in bed for a week solid.

two things here... first if you are a player who knows you're in but it's likely the minute soem name is back you're out you are more inclined to just go for things for yourself... second he's young and has to learn.

Sturridge is a bit of a numpty in terms of attitude. he's not got one single test of character yet bar oldaham against whom he played terrible. I think LFC fans appreciate the goals A LOT but need to see the guy needs to be tested over the long run... example collymore, big bang, instant partnership with fowler... came back the enxt year in preseason and total falling out had occured and was off the pace and gone then... disaster in other words.... the prrof is in how sturridge sustains it and what he does when things are not so rosey.

BTW under AVB at chelsea he was i nthe team and quite good. so it was not all bad there.

swarbs calls it right i think
