HARRY REDKNAPP has defended his new signings at QPR, insisting: They’re not rubbish.
The R’s boss brought in six players last month, including £12.5million Chris Samba, Loic Remy for £8m, plus Jermaine Jenas and Andros Townsend from Tottenham on loan.
Redknapp was upset after his basement boys were held to a 0-0 draw by Norwich on Saturday.
But he said: “I have not brought players in here who are s***.
“Samba should be playing for a top-four team, so if it does not go well, the club will get £12m for him.
“Remy for £8m, if he can score a few goals, he will be £12m. The two kids from Spurs, one was three grand (a week) and the other doesn’t come to a lot of money.
“The club’s invested but they will get their money back.”
Remy faces THREE MONTHS out after picking up a groin injury in training on Friday. He will get the results of a scan later today.

was worried when we got him that he doesn't have a great goal scoring or injury record. Just hope he can turn both around for the hoops. He looked ok against Man city which was encouraging. 3 months would be a disaster and I still worry that HR put all his eggs in one basket with Odemwinge on deadline day - something he often did at spurs - when we were still in dire need of a striker

 

Joe Jordan was on 5Live yesterday and said it was a "slight strain" but will be assessed today (Mon.)
