liverpool should have won that...good game and great to see Brendan's efforts paying off...<ok> dont know what the purpose of bringing little joe on for a striker though when they could have gone for the winner....

2 good teams out there today. Liverpool just shaded it for me . It shows you what world class is all about really doesnt it, i thought Sturridge had a storming game and was close to man of the match, some good performances all round and a great game to watch.

As much as I hate Liverpool, I had them down to win 3-2 at 40/1.
My emotions were a bit mixed in the last 10 mins

    Didn't watch it Aussie.

Today's itinerary included going down the Liberty to sort out coach travel to Wembley, visiting the parents for Sunday dinner and taking the dog for a walk. Will watch MOTD 2 tonight

In told that Gerrard scored a cracker too

really good football by Brendan and he has made them believe in themselves again. If he could turn them away draws against top teams into wins then he would be in the top 4 by now. progression must be way above even what he thought at the start of the season...well done i say and credit where credit is due....

yes and that is a huge testament to his coaching skills to mold the old players into his own style....I would have thought it would take a lot longer to make that happen...

Seem it now on the news, good goal from Aguerro. Did really well to get that in from such a tight angle, seeing as that's what the thread is about and not fcuking Liverpool.

Dai, I never said you did in the 1st place. I also point out that this thread has got nothing to do with Liverpool, it's about Aguerro's goal, the opposition are irrelevant Man City could have been playing anyone today.

The thread is to discuss a world class goal today. So can we please discuss the subject of the thread, it's certainly not me who needs to get a grip.

One in a million shot - from that angle the amount of goal opening that was present must of been a smudge more of ball width.

I put it down to Karma.

Let's face it,if anything was ever worth the accolade "fantastic" that was it. Sort of like Jack Nicks's " You want the truth ... you can't handle the truth". "You want fantastic ... let me show you fantastic. You can't handle fantastic" ... the look on BR's face after the goal was priceless.

Or perhaps it was the song

If I am driving too slow, please El Passo,
That's what the left lane on highways are for
Pedal your metal and burn up your gas, oh
I'll do the speed limit, saving much more..
