We all know about our striker shortage and Brucey has highlighted this is his priority for next season. However after the back four's display against Wolves we could have Eto & Tevez upfront and still not of won with the ease in which we are shipping goals.

Mensah just doesnt give a F*&k about the club now, he was substitued and didnt even shake young Lang's hand then just ran straight down the tunnel and hopefully back on the plane to Lyon where they can keep him! Mensah always seems to make the simple stuff look complicated and put himself under needless pressure countless times at the weekend.

My ideal scenario would be to send Mensah back to Lyon and sign Jonny Evans for £6/7 million and have him partner Titus at the back next season.

mensah is only good enough for a squad player,

on his day he can be class, but on an off day he can be utter ****e, as we saw on sat.

but if the price of 1 million is correct, surely he is worth having in the squad, just in case.....

but at a higher price,,toodle loo off you pop...

Dont think it was because he does not give a **** more like he knows he has been **** and that was his last game at the SoL. Looked so good last season but right off this.

I think his time is up lads and hopefully Bruce sees it, rather spend the £1mill (if that is correct) on a quality centre half as by god we need one.

It s a shame though because I am a big fan of his but this season his injuries have still carried on and his better performances are few and far between.

Amen to that Muff diver, I would sack off Onouha as well for these 2, however if we buy these for around £12million for the pair we then need a left-back for say another £6/7million so that nearly £20million spent and still no strikers or left winger, I suppose we will see how rich Ellis really is this summer!

If the centre back pairing was that strong, look at moving Bardo back to right back and Ricco left, these 2 are dominant in the air.

    I'd say they'd cost £7million each.

Samba, Johnny Evans, Roger Johnson, Scott Dann? All good targets and an improvement on what we've got. I do like Onuoha but depends on how much he will cost. We need an actual LB, as good as Bardo has been and Richo to that extent, I can't help but feel this could be our weak point if injuries set in again.

What about Reto Ziegler for left back.

Bosman, Sampdoria relegated, very good player.

    Wages wouldn't be massive either.

Good shout, WBA have been linked with him as well. Liam Ridgewell from Brum? Can play LB and CB.

Not a bad player Ridgewell, how much did Villa balls up letting him and Cahill leave.

    Mugs!

Good shout that mate, its becoming apparent how crap our squad is at present and how many players we actually need this Summer just to field a balanced team is frightening

I always get a bit concerned about raiding relegated clubs. If they're that good, why the **** have they got relegated?

Just had the same thoughts, most players we are linked with are in a relegation battle whats wrong with setting our sights higher i would take Defoe if he became available and why not try for Chamakh or bentdner if Arsenal and Spurs are having a clear out. We could do worse than try and get Given back as our GK are poor at the moment

Chamakh and Bentdner no but maybe Defoe would have a point to prove if Arry got rid of him, anyways its the defence we are talking about and its leaking goals for fun at the moment!

A backline of Jonny Evans and Chris Samba would be awesome!

We need a canny few players

There is strong arguments to strengthen everyposition, I know its not football manager so we aint goiing to replace 75% of our squad but I can see this being a very busy summer for SAFC

Id be happier to rid ourselves of Turner over Mensah especially if he costs a million. I would be more than happy with Samba or Johnson..... Think Evans is out of our league now.
