    Thoughts on first.

Sturridge has been simply awesome but worried he is injured. Overall doing well and keeping the ball OK ( winning possession, not that that matters much). Serious question on Agger, when did he become such a liability in man makring or just being able to follow a striker? Isn't the first time and don't think it will be the last but Dzeko really didn't do much to lose him on the goal, so damn easy.

With the Dzeko foul ( yes I thought it was a foul), ref said play, it is his call to stop the play. Look at how quick Dzeko got up to go have a word with the linesman and was fine. No need to put the ball out when he is clearly trying to disrupt the play.

Overall not bad, just hope sturridge is OK and we can finish one or two of the chances that fall to us.

Knew Sturridge was a good buy. Glad he's fitting right in.

Glad we have some fight in us in recent months which we havent really had in a few years.

    I really don't know why. :/

Anyway, hope we stay calm and focused for the second and can finally get a win against one of the big teams.

This is a point when I normally ask Chelsea fans how Ba is doing in comparison. But after the mid week shenanigans on the Arsenal board I think it's best not to. <ok>

I can't explain how frustrating a footballer Stewart Downing is.

He'll run brilliantly to save a ball from going out, then waste it on a back pass.

He'll do great to find space on the wings, and instead of passing into an offensive position, he'll turn around and give up.

Brilliant First half, one of the best this season, surprisingly it was only Gerrard who didn't click well. I hope Henderson plays through to the end, even if he's on a yellow, He's one those few players we've got right now with that winning mentality, he looked absolutely determined and full of energy, probably why that yellow, for trying just a little too hard. A draw should NOT be an option, we should win this by all means.

Agger has been brilliant imo, yes lost his man for the goal but has not let it worry him and has been great since. Sign of a good player that.

Started off a little unsure but has been ok since, but that's the point he's OK and I would prefer Borini or Sterling on.

I like the fact there have been 2 or 3 occasions where we've had the ball in our final 3rd and played 3 or 4 short one touch passed which has allowed us to walk the ball up the pitch and then attack City. One occasion lead to the Suarez chance when Sturridge got away down the left.

Think the midfield 3 of Lucas/Gerrard/Henderson has been solid and they seem to be able to play that short 1 touch passing game (I've always said Henderson one touch passing and through balls have been brilliant when I've seen him). This is where he has the advantage over Allen. No doubt he is also a good passer, but he likes to get the ball, look up and take a few touches before distributing. Players that can do it with 1 or 2 touches help speed up the tempo of play and doesn't allow the opposition to settle into a defensive shape allowing more space to move into.

City have had one chance and scored 1 goal which is frustrating but have to hope we keep it solid and if we can nick a 2-1 win here would be a very good day.

Only talking about that part of his game, man marking, knowing where the forward is, staying tight. Seems to have lost a bit in that area, everything else has been fine.

Downing's not been that bad since xmas. But obviously I would prefer someone that can make something out of nothing... not someone who makes nothing out of something.

Son sent me email to say we were playing ok. So found a stream and within seconds we were 1-0 down watched for a bit then turned off and we then equalized.

Question is am I a jinx?

Should I stream the second half?
