Got a really quick reply from Blizzard, by the sounds of it I may still have my characters (YAY), I just need to merge my account and need my old account name and password for that. I know my password but can't fully recall what my name is, but they said they can manually merge it for for me if I don't have my name, they just need some info (including my account name, er...., I think that was a typo). It'd be cool if I can get my character back! Alyea I think her name was.

Whilst waiting for the train to Portsmouth yesterday morning I got chatting to an aquantance who works at the Inland Revenue. We chat to exchange news to find out what each of us has been up to. Well as things turn out, he's taking his partner to Paris for a long weekend for her 50th!! Having watched Monty Don's excellent "French Gardens" the previous evening, I suggested taking in the gardens at Versailles. So if you were going to take your beautiful wife/husband, partner, girlfriend/boyfriend where would you take them?

Where you flying from Jasper? I've been looking at flights to Budapest from Bristol, Southampton etc. but they seem to be really expensive and take forever, as you have to change at Brussels for most of them. If you know of a good route from anywhere in the South of England I'd be grateful to hear.

Oldham Athletic have confirmed the departure of manager Paul Dickov, who has left his role at Boundary Park following a poor run in League One. Strange one for Barnard. Scores in his first game and manager leaves!

There's a fair few places I'd like to go. I'd like to go back to Iceland, but take my girlfriend this time. Canada and or Alaska. New Zealand, Morocco, Switzerland. I'm sure there's some other places too. In terms of where I'd most like to take my Mrs, it would probably be Canada seeing as that's where she'd like to visit the most.

Also could somebody inform me of when I should use affect and when to use effect. I normally just take a wild stab at it. It's something I've never managed to get to grips with and I'd like to put that right <ok>

This years new F1 Cars .

    Anyone seen them ?

I think the best looking car BY FAR is the Lotus ( Renault ) .

    Black & Gold & Red .

If it is as quick as it looks it will walk the championships .

Thik the Mercdes is dull as dishwater .

    Force India looks good .

Ferrari / Sauber look OK .

My concern is with the mclaren and any other teams that have adopted the Vanity Panel ..

They have the droop nose like all other teams , yet to disguise the fact and make the car better looking there is a thin panel vcovering the nose .

Even if it does not affect performance at all , I still think it's stupid .

It's one more bit of ( totally unrequired ) body work made of carbon fibre that can fly off the car , puncture a wheel etc .

Why the FIA allowed this is beyond me .

    Going back to Mclaren

Are they really that vain ?

    Yes !

It was I think Mclaren that introduced the driver wearing a pristice Suit top to post race interviews ...****** idiots !!!!

    Afternoon Chilco .

First time was for the Hungarian Grand Prix several years ago ( coach Trip don't bother ) .

Last time was from southampton BUT you have to change in Paruis and that was a bloody nightmare .

This year flying direct from heathrow .

We reckon Quicker to drive to Heathrow and fly direct , that short trip from Ferndown to southampton but then having to change in Paris .

Also the chances of losing your 1 suitcase on a direct flight are FAR less that losing it on a two flight journey , yes it did happen to us ........

Canada is lovely ( what I have seen of it ) .

IF you ever get to Niagara falls and can afford the helicopter trip JUST DO IT .

Worth every Dollar , you will NEVER forget the experience .

    http://www.niagarahelicopters.com/

And you MUST visit Niagara village ( not that same as the blackpoolish Niagara )

A few mile out but lovely .

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niagara-on-the-Lake

In Toronto I reccommend these .

    One word of warning .

I try to get along with everyone I meet , never mind skin colour , religious beliefs , team they support ETC ETC .

I have NO TIME WHATSOEVER for People from Montreal .

It's a difficult one. The main difference is, usually, "affect" is a verb and "effect" is a noun, but there are confusing exceptions - this article is the best explanation I've seen: http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/affect-versus-effect.aspx

Thanks all <cheers> I'll come back and read through everything later this evening, but I need to get out and running before it starts to get dark as I'm planning on a forest run rather then somewhere lamp lit.

I missed it! Need to find out when bbc3 are repeating it and series link it. The first season was one of the most addictive tv shows I've ever seen.

Italy just beat France, cracking game, and a genuine shock result. France were favourites for this year's 6 Nations and now they're out of the running for the grand slam at least.
