Oh Luke, inexperience shown there. He really should have stepped up and caught Maloney offside. I'll forgive him though, he's done little else wrong this season.
just worried about when MP's first win will come, Man city is hard to see, Newcastle will be tough with them looking more like the team from last year. We really need to get a win soon
Well we'll probably be first or second one next week. I can't see our home game against the Champions being a dour goalless draw somehow.
I didn't realise that Ramirez' miss was as bad as that, absolutely shocking, he looked nothing like a £12 million player today. Having said that Rodriguez miss from inside the 6 yard box is just as bad.
Heh, someone with the BBC has made a mess of their table...no one told me that today's results counted double, no wonder several people were upset about dropping the points!
His recent performances have earned him the right to be called by his actual surname for the unforeseeable future, however his miss was atrocious today.
Yeah, it's subtle. Puns are more your taste aren't they. You need a name with "pun" in it. Punny McPunderson. I'm sure I could do better but it's late.
Excellent performance by Saints today, particulary 2nd half when we were on top most of the time and played some great attacking football. Feel really up for the game v City next week after the last few performances, we can beat them with a little luck if we continue to play like this. So many contenders fro MOTM, JRod, Rickie, Morgan, Super Luke Shaw, but Jack Cork shaded it for me - he was immense. First time to Wigan's ground and it is a good little gaff for away fans - the Marque club for the away fans is excellent and a great crdit to Wigan, as was the admission prices. Full end of Saints support as usual and with a small home crowd like Wigan almost makes it into a home game for us. Good away day, almost a great away day.
You want to watch it on iPlayer. You can swoop it back to the beginning or any point to rewatch it, within a two hour window of transmission. For example, perhaps only 25 minutes ago was I still able to watch the game on iPlayer. Long after the original transmission. Think I looked at our goals something over 10-12 times. If you haven't yet, stop watching conventional TV and view it via iPlayer or timeshifted TV. Then you can appreciate the coverage more. BTW, it lasted a good 10+ minutes. Plus there was positive analysis afterwards from the pundits. Of course, we could always go back to advert laden ITV. Would you love that..?
Strange thing is i told a mate at work i didn't expect to get anything from this game , so to get so close to a win is more dissapointing if that makes sense . I did predict something from the man city game........
I don't see why people are writing off next Saturday. I really think we can beat City at home. It's about time we beat one of the top sides, and whilst city have a lot of great players, I'm not sure they're a great team.
Yeah we can beat city at home, and we can beat Wigan away, but we didn't. It's not just bad luck, there are deficiencies in our play that other teams can exploit. Unless we fix our defending (again), and don't squander so many chances, we won't beat city. They say the mark of a great team is playing badly and winning, well we're doing the opposite lately. Need something to click soon.
