Why has nobody started a SWP thread when he was a waste of space today
We get threads started instead about players who worked their socks off for us

I am normally a big critic but I thought he looked lively in the first half and went on a couple of good runs.

A goal against the scum may have something to to it

Thought he did alright, actually managed to take a few people on and win a few corners. Did miss his customary excellent chance though.

Townsend and mackie on the wings, SWP is sh.it . The guy can't take the shot right, he always has to slip just before he releases it and even the goal agaisnt the Chelsea was scored in a very odd body position

The player improves and then has a mediocre match (some are saying a good match) and instantly people want to slag him off and call him a waste of space.

He is a QPR player. He puts plenty of effort in and is trying. He has shown signs of improvement. I know, let's slag him off in the next game and shout abuse at him and see if that gets him playing better or makes Harry change his mind because Harry gets most of his tactics from idiots in the crowd.

Well why not find a new player to pick on ... Your opinions will in the end reveal your misunderstanding of the game. The truth is he will always get picked as in the end you will have to understand that he is a good player
Did a shift yesterday maybe a bit off with his pressing however in the first half the whole team was half a yard off with the pressing without the ball

I think SWP looks lively most of the time, the only real issue I have with him is his complete lack of goals in the PL.
If he was a back, everything would be fine but for a guy to be playing around the front line and not scoring goals, just doesn't tick the box.
I'm sure if he owned a brothel, he still wouldn't score.

He is one of many who just aren't good enough, no point slating the players anymore now, this is what we,ve got and unfortunately its not enough.

he had a couple of good runs yesterday - thought he was ok in a first half where the whole team was just 'ok'. HE even got a little chant out of us in R block which i haven't heard for a while. Of course his problem is he can't shoot or cross properly. I still think he'd be a half decent full back.

big cheer for Townsend in my bit of the Loft when he beat his man and got a cross in `(no one in the middle of course) early on, then a collective 'now I remember, thats what wingers are meant to do' moment.
SWP is fine for the pressing game, defensive duties against the 'top' teams, but offers little going forward, the few shots and crosses are so random.

He usually gets one **** away each game yesterday was no different
Games are won often by the odd goal or pass SWP would currently make my starting 11 at the moment
He is no goal scorer never has been so why should he change now?
He will always get a few but as a player he is on it most games IMO

yes, townsend did look tidy, jenas too looked assured. you're right though, now we've shored up at the back and really need to attack and win games i think we've got to go with someone who can actually shoot / cross and i'm afraid that for all his effort, that ain't SWP. Need to sort out our woeful set pieces too. If we can't be creative enough in open play then at least our set pieces need to be threatening and frankly... well i don't really to go on.

OK you're saying SWP was good. So he had good crosses in the box or good shots on goal? Because that is what a decent winger would do. Just look at Townsend. SWP is just an has been
