CRAIG MACKAIL-SMITH is on QPR’s hitlist after scoring 32 goals in all competitions for Peterborough so far this season. Boss Neil Warnock want to splash out and sign three midfielders, two strikers and a goalkeeper to kick-off life in the Premier League. Experienced Ireland hitman Robbie Keane is among their targets. The Spurs striker will be available after an unhappy loan spell at West Ham. http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/f....02039-23130108/
He's good at league 1, premiership is a massive step up. don't really want but if we do sign him, i hope he proves me wrong!
He is 27, so not likely to improve. I'm sure he would only be a backup player, certainly not one of the signings we are looking for, but last summer started this way too.
Naawich were close to signing him in the January transfer window but there offer was turned down Lambert seems to be quite good at spotting players from lower leagues
It worked for Beckford. It says that Warnock wants Robbie Keane(please no), a new goalkeeper(probably as back up) and no new defenders(are you kidding me?).What we need is 1 new goalkeeper (Back up, 2 if Cerny leaves),atleast 3 more defenders( IMO we need 4),at least 2 new midfielders(IMO we need 3) and 3 more strikers(not Keane, not Heskey, someone decent).
there's no doubt the boy can finish but the step up to the prem would be massive, beckford struggled to make an impact when he went to Everton and we cant afford to have a striker who takes time to find his feet we need one to start firing from the off thats were the problem starts finding one
You never know what Hill might do. At Watford Gorkss was able to handle Graham, so why cant Hill handle Rooney?
There's this bloke over the park scores loads every game... maybe we should have a look. Signs on too so won't need wages (bus fare would be appreciated)! Anyways, how's Troy Hewitt doing - still a prospect I take it?
Agree with the first sentence. Hill will give up goals no doubt but hopefully he'll have more good games than bad. He deserves a go after the season hes had. As for the analogy between Graham and Rooney...........................
i have vision of hill managing in the first 10 games of the season getting sent off 3 times for challenges so late, the game will have already finished
