Rooney is more important to us than Van Persie.

Of course, because bringing Anderson on instead would have been a match winner.

Rooney looked tired in the 2nd half

you need people who can run and defend ... sure Anderson will not score a winner , but one ball he win or a pass can create a chance for chicha or RVP to score
fullham looked tired at the back at the end
with rooney energy dropped, they kept pushing us back and almost scored against us

the amount of times RVP has cleared off the line from corners this season is scary, and all the talk last season about Liverpool was how many times they hit the woodwork which was 33 I think, we must be closing in on that surely.

I cannot believe a fan here was asking for Rooney to be substituted when he is one of the players that can turn the game in an instant. Does he even f**king understand football? <doh> that makes me really angry as this gives credence to the other fans who say that united fans have no knowledge of the game and are f**king plastics.

Rooney is as key to United as RVP if not more. Any United 'fan' who disagrees can go and f*ck himself <ok>

We need people to score goals.

Rooney has scored all three in the two games you've been slagging him off and shouting for him to be taken off.
    Anderson would not have.

I don't need a lesson, thanks all the same.

You seem to hope if you chuck enough mud at Rooney some will stick but when the WHOLE side is struggling you don't take your match winner off.

    <ok>

Rooney may not always have the perfect game or on form but he always gives 100% and never hides like some others. He drives the team and I would never sub him unless he is having a stinker and FFS he wasn't having one today <ok>

he did well at 2 goals facing the Saints .. but was clueless at 2nd half
same today, he was amazing at first half, but gone missing in the 2nd till that goal and gone missing again after that

we get lucky facing Saints as they deserved a point, and we got lucky today that we didn't conceded and dropped the 3 points with Fulham were close many times to score? what that tells you ?

That tells me that Rooneys three goals in the last two games have won us six points.

he has defensive and attacking duties
    and stop using stats
everyone says Arsenal are struggling upfront without RVP , yet they scored way more goals this season without him compared to with him at the same stage of the season ..

I've actually stopped reading most of what you're saying but, the bit I did read, they are not stats. They are hard facts.

    All the other ****?
He's there to score and provide goals. Job ****ing done.

    How poor was Valencia today?

Nani probably had his best game of the season. Hopefully he can build on that and start being useful!

I was about to say the same thing. As many of you would know I've been quite vocal about how Nani irritates me, but he played well today, his work rate and willingness to defend and get stuck in was very nice to see. Keep it up son.
