Dare I say it but this was a display out of Brenda's textbook; lots of passing but minimal goal threat. We really do need that combative midfielder that I've been screaming out for to give us a bit of zip there. We showed no urgency and got what we asked for and, by the way, what was Ash doing marking Carroll? Chico is a taller more physical player and he should have been contesting that ball. To be honest, we played as I feared for most of the game - minds on Wembley and doing as little as possible to get through the game. Not good enough. We only stirred into action when we fell behind and we needed to be playing like that from the first whistle. Very disappointing.
Well played lads, hope you win the league cup and get into Europe. Don't worry you did better than the last welsh team to come to Upton Park. Good luck for the rest of the season. See you next year
Agree with Ivorall but I felt we needed a striker more urgently than the midfielder. We have no decent options up front after Michu, and even Michu looks isolated and and not at his best up there. After about an hour today I was expecting to see DG come off the bench and nick us a winner, instead we got Moore. The combatitive midfielder looks sorted in the summer (Canas) but the striker can't wait, we aren't scoring many at the moment and now we are weaker than before DG left.
well this proved sir mike has ****ed things up. we were battered in the first half and should have been 3-0 down by half time if it was not for tremmel. second half was better at passing but no threat of any worth and did look like the brendan team of old.....Dont anyone say we are not missing a striker because this game proved it without a doubt ..michu's form have dipped and its no wonder he never made the Spanish squad never mind get to play, West ham took their foot of the gas in the second half and were the best team by a mile....thank god for tremmel i will say ...the MOM for us.....sorry laudrup... should have got a striker in when you could have and not leave it to late like you did...
Dai, I'm not sure I'd blame ML. I hate to say it but perhaps the funds he needed to get Aspas, for example, were denied him by Jenkins. Either way, I agree we looked weak today and I'm not too confident for the coming games, even the final. We have to mix it up a bit more in midfield and be more positive going forward. I'm tired of seeing players get the ball in positive positions only to pass backward instead of turning and going forward with purpose.
There's a really annoying record stuck on this board, just repeating, repeating, repeating, repeating, repeating, repeating,........
Why we fart around in the January transfer window is beyond me, we have been here before many times, this is not Laudrup Dai, this is our board! Premiership team, with lower league mentality on times!....... I can see what Ivor is on about, teams are coming through our midfield far too easy these days, our strength was always our midfield, but that's slipped, but saying that, I'm more concerned with our lack of cutting edge up front, at the minute, we've done a Liverpool here, with no real striker to talk about at the Liberty, get ready for a lot of draws!..............
you angry we lost pgf....deal with it son instead of as usual finding things to post about me.. you know i will say it as it is and not bury my head in the sand and im afraid laudrup have made a hell of a blunder missing the deadline to get a striker...will it cost us???? it did today..

I wouldn't say they have made a blunder. They have just prioritized differently. ****ty game though today.
Actually its neither Laudrup or the Board, they tried to do deals but were getting ripped off so didnt bother, as Laudrup said himself he was very advanced on a deal he brokered himself (very intresting that he mentioned that) but at the last minute the president changed the deal and wanted us to buy him permenent (it was a loan deal) so Laudrup said no. The intresting thing with him that he said he prefers to get things done early and wasnt lookin gto buy anyone in January, im guessing thats because targets are being lined up for the summer and Laudrup feels that the money is better spent in summer time when there is better value for money. When asked about the striker situation he basically said that if goals were a major problem then we would have seen maybe 2 strikers arrive but our needs wernt critical so the need to pay over inflated prices are not required. Some guys should cut a bit of slack, we have lost 4 in 21 games and have scored more goal are higher in the league and with a better goal difference than many other more expensively assembled sides. Is it so bad we lost 0-1 away to West Ham to a £35 m striker being the difference? Not a great game today, but that was bound to happen,we have a dip in overall form as many teams do. Im sure we will reach 40 pts in the next 14 games and then we will re-arm during the summer with Aspas up front and his best mate Michu playing in the hole where he should be. DG was not part of the future and the club decided to move him on , im guessing things are pointing towards the summer in terms of signings but its no shame to be 2nd best sometimes, west ham went for us from the start and were worthy winners, sometimes you have to acknowledge the opposition and not think little old Swansea has a divine right to batter every team in the premier league. Didnt play great but credit to West Ham for stopping us from playing,we move onto the next game now

We won't be the first, or last, side to lose to an Andy Carroll header. Just move on. Selling Danny Graham is an irrelevance to today's result. Not too disappointed tbh. Watched most of the game on a stop-start video internet stream. Between all the pauses it seems like Tremmel had a good game. First defeat in eight. Life's much easier if you've got a forgiving nature.
I still think it's a silly gamble no front man! And it puts far too much pressure on Michu, mind you, you wont see Luke Moore worrying about scoring!.........
we were second best for god sake and they had the measure of us in the first half ....our defense is superb and tremmel has to be the best keeper in the premiership and if it was not for that we would have lost by more.....its the midfield and forward players that are letting the side down with lack of going for goal and even michu is looking ordinary these last few games. we missed danny today as at least he has a go. now we have nobody and it showed....
Dai! I'm curious, I thought you didn't rate old Danny boy, What the hell changed?....................
