I agree right now that Fulham can't be ruled out (even though they have more points than Newcastle, and I've basically ruled Newcastle out, I do think Newcastle are a club currently on the up). However they are on the verge of being ruled out. If they go to Norwich next and win, that should be that for them - even if Utd thump them right now. They could move 10 points clear with a win vs Norwich.
And talking of Norwich vs Fulham next weekend, the fixtures concerning the bottom nine are: Spurs vs NEWCASTLE Chelsea vs WIGAN NORWICH vs FULHAM Stoke vs READING Swansea vs QPR SAINTS vs Man City VILLA vs WEST HAM Great opportunity for Villa, and I think Reading and QPR might secretly fancy their chances.
Evening Lambo, how's it going? Not really sure what to make of either of our bets now if I'm honest. Both could go either way although after today it's looking likely we might both be chipping in a tenner to charity? Having said that, I'm sure there will be plenty of twists and turns yet!
we can all forget about qpr they are down and will more than likely go into administration and deducted points and end up in div 1....the other two will be up for grabs between villa saints reading and wigan...
QPR are down again? My lord it's hard to keep track. Few weeks ago they were down, then they were back up, now back down again. Almost as confusing as Reading, they were dead and buried but now they're sorted. It'd be so much more helpful if they just kept this business for the end of the season instead of all these relegations and promotions every week.
Don't know what the team in 18th place finished with in the last four or five seasons but feel this season it is going to take a higher points total this season than for some considerable time, at least 38 maybe higher!! Thoughts!
Who ever are predicting us to finish comfortably in 13/14/15 are daft, we will be right down there until the final week, and could very well find ourselves on level points with the bottom 3 by the time we play next Sunday. I am still of the opinion that we will go down.
Clearly not, it's my opinion from watching us on many occasions this season. Terrible grammar from you though, as per.
Ah grammar nazi as well now I see, you can still understand me so it doesn't matter. Not all of us are blessed to be perfect like yourself.
I'm hardly a grammar Nazi, you jumped on my back immediately after i gave my opinion. Therefore if you're going to do that, at least have the decency to structure the sentence properly.
I am actually dyslexic, so i'm proud you can understand me. My response to you was more a joke then jumping on you.
If we continue to perform like we have last three and get the points that the performances deserve, we will be mathematically safe at least two games before the end of the season. I am fully prepared to stick my neck out and say we are in a false position. I hate being considered as relegation candidates when we can play like we did today. These defensive errors must be eradicated NOW to make sure we get the points that dominating a football match warrants.
How can we not be considered relegation candidates?, a good performance counts for nothing if you're not getting the points, as we aren't.
Fair comment Imho . I don't think we will go down , but if we don't get a win and soon , I can see the pressure getting to some of the players .
Lighten up Olly.........no body was having a go.......Just a light hearted dig at your obvious use of the crystal ball. You will notice they were not saying you were not entitled to an opinion. Cut out the personal remarks mate, about grammer etc it is not wanted. All you will do is to start a board argument which then means the mods have to step in.
and that makes Beddy very cross especially on a Sunday morning when he has just put his feet up with a nice cup of tea and is settling down to read the Sunday papers.
I think both yourself and ollysaints1 have valid points, it's just he hasn't put his point across that well. We do need to start winning games that we dominate but it's certainly not panic stations. I have seen more than enough in the 3 games under Pochettino to say that we will finish above at least 3 teams at the end of the season.
