This is the same QPR that have held man city and beaten Chelsea in recent weeks. And they'll beat a few more before the season is out. Very decent point for me.
Yes I'm happy with a point, it's another game chalked off and it was a good defensive performance, however it was one of the worst games of football I've ever seen, going forward we were absolutely **** and couldn't string three passes together. It was dreadful, absolutely bloody awful with the ball spending most of it's time bouncing around in the midfield. They were just as bad, it was an absolutely Godawful game of football. And I'll stand by my opinion that Becchio should have come on for Holt earlier, in my eyes he was **** today and spent far too much of his time trying to win bloody free-kicks - is that what we have become? He's better than that, and I'd like all those who think he had a good game today to list all the good things he did because for me there wasn't enough to keep our bang in form new signing on the bench for as long as he was. Happy with a point, but disappointed with the overall performance going forward
Getting nervous. results helped us but even so we really need a win asap. Not sure if anybody else saw the double handed shove on Becchio in the penalty area in the last few minutes? How is it possible that a referee can't see this blatant foul! Sorry if this has been mentioned on the previous seven pages which I may have missed
To be fair they could have had another one as well when both Bassong and Turner were all over Samba and virtually hauled him to the ground, swings and roundabouts
Agree re the point but I don't see QPR winning more than two or three games. They are all grizzling saying we are a dirty side over on their board.Big Time Charlies are as good as down tonight.
I agree that it was a good result against a QPR team that hasn't lost in their last six. It was an even match and a draw was the right result. Disagree with Tony, though, about the attacking performance. City had 14 shots, 9 of which were on target and 51% of the possession. That's a good performance away from home, IMO, and if it wasn't for some amazing saves by Cesar, City could have won it. It would have been good for Becchio to get more time, but this was a crucial match and one defensive mistake might have let QPR win it at the end. Holt didn't have his best game in attack, but he had an excellent game in defence, including clearing one off the line. Too many of us don't see that side of his game. At the end of it, City are still 7 points clear of relegation with two home matches to come. Can't see QPR catching us now, and both Reading and Wigan have only 6 home matches left (7 away). It's also nice to be on a two match unbeaten run again! OTBC!
Unusually I missed the game today (which may have been for the best). An away point and clean sheet against any Premier team is good in my book. So really the discussion is about style.
Couldn't agree more. I have put on another thread that I don't like watching my team play like that. We are better than that and can play with style and endeavour. But just to sit and hope for a win but settle for a draw is not my cup of tea.
You were by far the dirtiest side to visit us this season. Holt fouled every time he went for the ball. Cynical fouls all over the pitch. 5 yellows and the ref should have awarded one or two 2nd yellows too. Wasted time from the word go, as you were so desperate for a draw. No wonder 5mins were added on at the end. You used to play decent football, what has happened under Hughton? Bunch of cloggers now!!
QPR are the thugs of the Premier League so that's a bit rich coming from them. Their players were falling down all over the place. Sooner they get relegated the better the BPL will be.
Come on pal, these are the lamest excuses. We committed petty fouls and certainly the one Turner was booked for was a good tackle. We could argue all day about it but you really don't believe it do you. You really thought you were going to beat us today and yet in the end we had more shots on target than you. You have been hyped us this week and your owner, manager and the media have cranked up the evernts of the last few days into a belief that QPR will be safe. For goodness sake, you need at least 6 wins and a few draws, and if you can't convert penalties then you are not going to stay up are you. To illustrate the hype, the SKY interviewer asked after the game: "Who gained most out of that result". He couldn't actually dare find fault with 'Arry and was trying to find some small comfort for a team that remains way behind us despite the fact that Samba will have been paid more in afortnights time than we spent in the transfer window. The spectre of relegation is real and you just can't believe it can you.
Im not sure but i think you will find we are top or near top of the fair play league in the epl and you guys are somewhere near the bottom. Pot, kettle...... I mean the discipline one not the financial one, you would certainly be bottom of that.
You were terrible. Dirty and time wasting from the start. You're fans were so quiet, all dressed in that pukey yellow and green (some were actually dressed as canaries FFS!). Have I mentioned that I ****ing hate Norwich?
Of course we sounded quiet today. We couldn't be heard above all your ****in' whining. Now piss off round the corner where a real tycoon, not a ****in joke one, spends his money wisely and buys titles and cups. And put your Pearly King oufit on and start talking in that ****in' stupid rhyming slang. I suppose you will tell me next you were a friend of the Krays!
Really disappointed you didn't win today and put another nail into the coffin of QPR and help them to relegation. Like Norwich, top quality club and fans.
