In terms of performance, this was 10 times better than the recent 6 victories on the trot, but we lost. That's football. These players played excellent today and if they keep that going, we will be better and will have the crowd behind us. It's clear that boring hoofball is not what we are playing. The result just didn't come today. I'm optimistic for this squad. Maybe not this year, but our backline wil grow together superbly over the next couple of years, some of that midfield will remain and be good enough, and our front line will be great when we start supplying them and pulling teams all over the park. He's looking for a good wide man - I'd prefer not to get one that to just take on someone who is not actually good enough, and maybe they have learnt that. Habibou might impress, so might Morison and Warnock. And yes, GFH are skint, always were, and are solely looking to cut costs to the bone and sell up. NW had them trying to play the last couple of games, and that is much more enjoyable than being bored silly and luckily streaking a win.
I think it is far to earl to pass judgment on Habibou. He only played for 15 min and at that time we hoof it. Warnock should have made a change immediate after we went 1 down. So again this lose is only one man’s fault and that is Warnock. He should have put in more attacking force, he should have taken Brown of instead of Diouf
Well I prefer to wait and see m8,but Warnock has played for England so wasn't average then,IMO Morison was a better all round player than Beckford 3 years ago and the other guy I've no idea but will wait and see.We did outplay the best team in the league today, didn't get the breaks but that's how it goes sometimes.Scum had many more shots than us in the F A CUP a few years ago and lost did that make them average. If we finish 10-12 at the end of the season then yes they are average but lets wait and see.
Thats all it takes.. I dont think cardiff got out of 3rd gear to be honest. there was only going to be one outcome....and it ended that way....
cardiff were ****ing ****e, but we lacked a cutting edge up front, nobody on our team looked like scoring today. **** this **** man
So many times you go and see your team against the sides at the top and wonder, "how on earth are they clear of everyone else playing like that?" ...and yet they manage to scrape a win and leave with the spoils...well that is exactly what we are capable of this season, winning for the sake of it. Today was another poor game where we did what was needed and maintained a 10 point lead at the top. Sure we can still screw it up, but I don't think this group of players and the coaching staff are of that mindset!
Wake up lads and smell the roses. We're not going to be anywhere need the play offs. We're ten points behind the fifth team so our only slim chance is to catch borough six points ahead of us. Unfortunately there are a half dozen teams in between better placed than us. And god forbid as some suggested, that well be starting next season with this lot. What was the point in talking off Diouf to be replaced by the duck. At least he's only on loan and I'd suggest he doesn't play three hours football between now and season end. Btw we now need 35 points from 17 games for any chance of the playoffs, 12 wins from 17, forget it
It'll be 1 season more than you're going to get with Colin. I think everyone told the Jacks and your east Anglian mates that same thing too. Theyre both enjoying a 2nd season but you must be proud of Norwich anyway, the way they give all your best players the chance at the highest level really must help you guys answer that 'are they pl quality debate?'
