In my opinion, Newcastle are not the team they recently were. Two wins under the belt, a string of January signings, and Cabaye back from injury. I'm sure they'll be fine now, and will start motoring up the table. So an away trip up there will be difficult. I certainly wouldn't put it in the same category as an away trip to Norwich. I'd be very happy with five points from these four games, I would gladly accept four points. Six or seven points would be great, three points is a minimum.
He took a knock shortly before half time, got a dead leg again according to the commentary, hope it's not as serious as his earlier one!
Listening to Radio Solent they seemed to hint that we should have had a couple penalties for hand ball, I know they are a bit biased but did anyone see them as possible shouts?
Interviewed Wigan players hugely relieved. Considered a point gained for them, rather than lost. Says a lot for Saints performance.
Well I do want to see Morgan's goal and now I'm thinking rationally Villa did bombard us in the 2nd half and should really have scored so I guess that makes me feel better about this result.
It's not just the goals, it's the fact we should have won. We had 15 shots to their 5 and after knocking on the door all match we finally took the lead after 85 minutes. At that point you're entitled to expect victory.
You're merely saying that we need seven points from our next four. We don't, not at all; we're on a pace right now that virtually guarantees survival. 7 from 4 would be fantastic, and would likely put us in a position to breathe pretty easily over the final couple months, but it's not by any means a necessity.
Don't think so. There were a couple of occasions of ball to hand perhaps but there was nothing the Wigan players could have done about them, hands in correct place etc
No need to be an arse mate. This is an internet forum, people come on here to give their views and opinions and see other people's. Different people care about different things and some people value things more than others. You might not be annoyed or frustrated or even upset but doesn't mean others can't be or voice their feelings.
One was a Rodriguez swivel-and-fire that absolutely hit an outstretched hand as it was goal-bound, and absolutely could have been given. Personally, I hate penalties for accidental handballs, and that was one; was stupid of the defender to have his arm extended well away from his body, but he had no time to react after the shot was taken.
I agree that's what a forum is supposed to be for, but I don't agree that's what everyone is using it for.
