Hope not. Him being their manager is the only thing that is keeping Chelsea in this battle for CL places.
Think it's worth noting that defensively Tottenham and Chelsea where **** today as well as us! People go on as if we are the only team with issues at the back but the stats i posted earlier in the liverpool thread show that actually lots of the teams around us have been **** as well!
Oh and fixture wise the other teams we are competing with for 4th have to play each other and other difficult fixtures, whereas we have played most of the top teams already - think we have one game with spuds and 1 with utd and otherwise the rest of our games are the type of games we have been doing well in. The fight for 4th is still very much open with only Everton getting the result they wanted today no-one has capitalised. It's going to be a very interesting second half of the season!
Think us lot and you guys only have two teams to play in the top 6 now, Everton still have to play quite a few teams in the top 6. Edit - we have three games, not two. One this weekend away to $ity and then two at home against the Chavs and the Spudlets
What is going on with Reading? I had them down as last place this season, yet they're one of the most in form sides in the league now.
1 point behind Everton and Spurs and 5 points behind Chelsea. Tottenham have a game in hand (WBA away) and then play Newcastle(H) next week when we play Sunderland(A). Everton play United(A) next week. Could be a chance for us to move up the table a place or two with our next fixture. I hope Chelsea continue to hate Rafa and struggle. There team seems tired and will be starting to worry about the 3 teams below catching up - hopefully they continue to slip up. They play Wigan(H) next, followed by an away trip to City. If we can keep in touching distance of them until april/may they have some tough fixtures and i can see them dropping from the top 4 again. They need stability and under Abramovich that's the last thing they are getting! Fingers crossed that Benitez doesn't get fired yet! He is doing a great job of keeping the 3rd spot open
Nah, Spurs will be too strong. Adding Holtby was a good move by Boas, he's a very good player, adds another dimension to their play.
