With Everton and Chelsea losing, a win here would be massive.

 

Oxo should have gone for the near post there... poor composure all day from him, even though he looks lively compared to the rest of the season.

 

This ref really does not want to give us any free kicks

 

Walcott isn't getting anything from this referee today. Even the commentators agree that he's being unfairly dealt with.

Build up play has been quite poor for most of the half, no good fluidity.

Frustrating first half. I think we've played reasonably well and would be leading with a bit of luck.

 

i hate watching Stoke they do not play the game. they just foul and defend. Arsenal will score when they get tired.

 

We make it easier for them too when we just play it side to side to side to side and play slow.

Not exactly easy to go through the middle with 11 men sitting back, and despite that we've still carved out some chances.

 

The ref is a right plank... Why isn't he giving us any freekicks? Obvious fouls on Walcott, Diaby and Wilshere all ignored.

I hate it that when we play teams like Stoke the refs try to ignore as many fouls as possible which just encourages Stoke to foul and makes the game run less fluid.

Good first half - Oxocube should have put us ahead! Great control to bring it down off his chest but then he hits it right at the keeper, if only he had just hit it straight it would of been bottom corner!

Monreal doing well so far, good to see the fans getting behind him. What a head he has on him to open up the Stoke man!!

Walcott and Oxocube aren't being given much space but they are looking the most likely to make something happen (oxocube needs to improve his passing and crossing though). I'd like to see the midfield driving forward more - we have seen moments of it from Diaby, but i want him and WIlshere pushing forwards more.

Some good passing, we look solid and assured, but we need a goal to settle the nerves.

 

As long as we don't concede we will win!

It's nice to know we have options on the bench for once.

 

if we're not going to go through the middle and if we go out wide, let's be creative at least, not make it simple to the side. Something like dink it over to the wide etc, or make better runs.

We need more runs in the box - at the moment Giroud is getting crowded out but making good runs, if we can get someone else in the box making runs to open up the space slightly i think Giroud will get something.
