That's actually only one of the reasons, the other is in case you make eye-contact with someone who's likely to stab you. <ok>

Yea, had to go around town now for like 6 or 7 times by foot, walking 10/11 miles a day with heavy bags and such. Lost 2,5 pounds in 48 hours.
Spent the first 150 quid already bought a frying pan, knives, food, herbs, drinks, bandages, sponges, cutting boards, a wiper for in the shower, soap for the dishes, laundry bin, toilet gels and on and on, and tomorrow I gotta buy another ****load of stuff to get settled in. Gotta start on Monday so I've got to get done tomorrow.

Why buy it when you've said there's loads lying around on the street for free?

yea that's another thing that dazzles through my mind: signs, they are everywhere! Watch out this, be careful that, warning, caution, be aware etc.
First day here I was made aware by signs to take notice of personal hygiene to avoid Noro-virus infection, legionnaires disease and what not. Soooo, I'm not picking up anything, I'm not taking anything from the streets, and everything lying around the campus or in the apartment block is being treated with a flamethrower first.
What is with these signs, and this afternoon, there was this stand with solicitors on the town square that kept asking, you need legal help? On the continent you get an instant **** OFF, if we need help we'll come to you, don't bother us with this ****. I've filled in dozens of forms, for the room, for the universities facilities, the fricking window in my room and so on. WHY?!!?!?

Update: Blisters on feet in England hurt as much as on the continent, bloody hell. I've walked for about 20 miles now in 2 days and it's killing me. Gotta get meself a laundry basket, dish brush and some pots and a wok pan today. so that's another 4 miles to get that sorted. I can go by bus but I've already saved some 15 quid just by walking. Now I'm paying the price for that... :undecided:

The ASDA is like half a mile further down the road than the LIDL, and in town there's a Morrissons but thats like a 2,5 mile walk.

And yea that was the first thing I noticed in the train from Gatwick, this big ass hill on the left side and I was like WOOAH, first freakin hill i've seen in 5 years!

Apparently, I am situated in an area that is considered 'rough', there's no place to park the bike and if I were to park it near the front door it'd get stolen instantly. Heck they took my chorizo this morning! Thought I'd make myself a nice lunch with that! bastards...

Are you going to take your shirt off in the middle of Brighton and just stand there menacingly flexing your muscles like a man possessed?

Day 3: woke up this morning, oh yea, that's the first time I woke in England, haven't slept in 3 days for a proper amount of hours. Feeling a lot better now.
Last night I came up with a new name for Pardew: Alain Pardieu, sounds French enough does it?
