Not sure why he would want to miss out on a League Cup final when he could wait until the summer to sign for another club.

Or maybe the signing on fee is too much to ignore!

I bet the mackem boo boys are delighted with themselves now....not sure Martin O'Nil will be though

Would love if he came to us, maybe thats why Craig has moved positions but I doubt it.

    From the Mail yesterday..

Sunderland's £5.5m deal for Graham almost done... but will he want to join them after last night's abuse from the fans?

Danny Graham will today complete his £5.5m transfer from Swansea to Sunderland after refusing to be deterred by the vicious abuse aimed at him from the Wearside club's fans during last night's 0-0 draw between the two sides.

Manager Martin O'Neill has targeted the Newcastle-supporting frontman to ease the goalscoring burden on Steven Fletcher after being replaced at Swansea by Michu.

But Sunderland's fans, still angry about his dismissal of the club during his time at Watford, booed him throughout, labelling him "scum" and "a w****r" and ensuring he can continue to expect such hostility even after his signing is confirmed.

The Mackems will be unhappy at this.
I can see our lads, at the derby, singing songs about Graham.

Having a bit of banter with the unwashed on twitter. They're claiming he turned us down. Surely there was never an offer from us on the table?

Surely not even the most deluded of inbreds thinks he'd sign for them over us?

I can't believe he's signed for them after the reception he received v Swansea. Maybe he is our agent after all! If so, he should report to base.

Seriously though, what a small-minded, parochial bunch Sunderland fans are. A total embarrassment.

The bloke has got some bottle in signing for that lot - Benitez could probably give him some advice of how to deal with verbals every game, or put him in the direction of a good quack to visit for counselling ...

He'll always be black and white - and the mackems know it ha ha.

Looks like Pardew doesn't think he was worth going for. A bit dismissive:

"Pardew feels he still needs to add a proven goalscorer to his ranks if Newcastle are avoid going backwards, and is planning to dip back into the transfer market when the window re-opens.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "When we lost out on (Loic) Remy, it was pretty evident we weren't going to get a big striker.

"They are pretty difficult to get over the line. You look around and nobody apart from Remy has really moved - maybe Danny Graham, but I don't think he's in that level.

"I think that's something we will look at in the summer."

For the record, it was only a tiny minority of fans that gave Graham abuse on Tuesday night (unlike your lot who hounded Sir Bobby out of a job and broke his heart), and I'm sure the vast majority of our fans will support the lad..
