    Spurs...always the bridesmaid <whistle>

Spent well, have a decent squad that should be strong enough for fourth if Bale keeps firing and they keep people fit (same with all teams obviously). Question marks over the manager of course (as have we) and might regret not buying another striker but we'll see. We might regret not buying another centre half or defensive midfielder if Agger or Lucas get injured...nobody knows <ok>

Just thought I would point out to the OP (who seems to make his facts up, no offence), that Defoe was transferred to Pompey for £12m and resigned for £15m.

    http://www.myfootballfacts.com/TottenhamHotspurPlayerTransferHistory1908-2009.html

And to Welshreds post of absolute comedy gold (no surprise from a glory supporting deluded Mouser), having the 11th highest revenue in world football (and a billionaire owner) Spurs could compete with most clubs if we decided to do so, but we decide not to preferring instead to run our club properly and within its means. The only English clubs we can not realistically compete with are Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City, but these clubs operate at massive loss/debt and/or are bankrolled by billionaires. We are also very well placed for impending Financial Fair Play.

Spurs are a very well run club with the most astute chairman in the league, we are growing season by season back where we belong, and with a shiny new 60k stadium on the way we will only get bigger. Some may not realize, that back in the early 90`s there very nearly was no more Spurs, Sugar saved us and its been a long road back since.

We also have several proven top drawer players as well as Bale, Lloris, Dembele, Vertonghen, Kaboul etc....

We have had little success in the last 20 years, but it is a slow building process and that will come in time. I`d rather we operated the club sensibly than running up huge debts, only to be bailed out by some dodgy Middle Eastern or Yankee owners here for a quick profit.

YOu have a new stadium on the way? Know you revamped the training grounds but didn't know about stadium. Where is it supposed to be? Be wary of dreams of grandeur in regards to stadia!

So CB, you don't have support from out side of North London?, our club is not run properly and within its means?, we are not the 9th richest club in world football?, we are not 'well placed for financial fair play?, we wont have a 60k ground?, you've had little success since Bill Nicholson was your manager more than 20yrs ago, you obviously have been hibernating for the last few years because we almost went bust 3yrs ago and we are on the long road back ourselves, are you saying our club is running up huge debts?

You live in a Utopian fantasy mate.

You're failures and bottlers. Your history proves that failure is woven into the culture of the club. You're only having a blip and normal service, for you, will be resumed shortly. You know I'm right.

Good players but none of them top drawer like bale. Call me pessimistic but I think this spurs team have been at their peak last 3 years and I can't envisage them getting any better only being overtaken. Then again uefa may get ffp to work properly and Chelsea and man city may be overtaken instead. Who knows.

Our training facilities are up there with the best in the country now so yeah it should help.

For general info on the new stadium: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northumberland_Development_Project It's right next door to White Hart Lane, the footprint actually overlaps so we're due to be playing in a half demolished stadium at some point I believe.

Note from the wiki article that Levy originally had us moving into it for the start of this season, but we ran into various planning, heritage and funding issues.

    I never wrote you do not/are not . <doh>

Sure we will have fans outside of North London, just not 75% of us. <ok> ... (who bang about trophies, success, we won this, we won that..... the sole reason they follow Lollerpool)

Funny that, how did you calculate that 75% of matchgoing Liverpool supporters are from outside of the area?

The object of every football clubs existence is to win trophies is'nt it?, whats the point of winning them if its not politically correct to talk about it?

So are you saying that the mysterious 75% jumped on the bandwagon after our League Cup win last season or after our FA Cup win 7yrs ago?

For those that have missed it here is the superb new White Hart Lane, being built next to the old one it will compliment our new world class training centre nicely...
