despite being tall, he wont win any headers. he will guard the ball well though and play others in. he also gets in to good positions. if his shooting was good, he'd score a load more
I wasn't very impressed TC I'm afraid despite those who sit near me eulogising about the fella. He missed a lot of very good chances and for a big guy is relatively poor in the air. Seems to jump early for everything and developed a penchant for missing headers from six yards out unopposed. Does hold it up well at this level and will put in a shift though. I'd imagine he's at least as good as Henderson but don't expect another Chris Wood! Almost inevitable that he will score against us having said all that!
Not very quick either. Most CBs could outpace him. And lack of match practice was not the reason as he failed to speed up with successive matches. He was good enough for us at the time we were struggling to stay out the relegation places, hard-working, and a good team man. But not good enough for a team challenging for promotion.
An honest pro TC, don't play him with another big fella next to him as we found out that doesn't work, however, play somebody small and quick and he could be effective. From Chris Powell's comments he is very good to have around the training ground and you can't fault his professionalism!
I liked him. He gets in positions where he will threaten. If you're service is better than ours then he will score.
He will miss really good chances. But he will work hard, hold the ball up well, and get a few goals. Just not as many as he should.
In his favour, even when he missed a sitter it never put him off, he'd still get into good positions, always available.
Also noticed that CP waited till 2 hours before deadline to put in a bid for N'Guessan - why do managers leave it till the last minute?
Chris got worried when he thought he was going to lose Green and Bradders so went back to who he knew from last season M8
