Gotta be happy about big Chris Samba. How long have we been saying that we've wanted him? Could we have ended up with a better centre back? Not only do we now have the fantastic attribute of being very difficult to beat in the air at the back, we also have a brand new and very real aerial threat in front of goal. Maybe Arry's bought Jenas in purely to whip in corners and free kicks aiming for Samba! Massive signing.

And thank the lord, Cesar stays R.

Can't argue with any of that Woody.

Kept our key players and brought in a quality CB.

Hopefully, with his pace, we can play a slightly higher line which will help push the opposition back and allow us more bodies around the box.

A great buy. Now we dont need to have our midfield playing so defensively, and can play a more attacking formation.
4 across the middle with the man-mountain at the back
So who's gonna be the strike force then? Remy & Adel or Remy & Zamo..?

You know, all of this makes me think that we simply have to stay up! Surely it's fate. We've good a good team now with a manager who isn't a plonker and we can really grow. We deserve another chance!

Consider this .................. Hughes tried to get Samba and failed.
Harry gets him first cab off the rank.
We are so lucky we have HR .............................His experience and pulling power is evident.
Sure our TF has the money but in the end, the players that did come in, came because of Harry.
    Lucky us !

I watched some videos of Samba and I must admit I was afraid. No way I'd play against him <wah>

Well its been a long time coming but i seem to remember years ago a certain Mr Holloway saying he wanted a big commanding centre back who would take out the ball, the player and the front 3 rows in the stand as well...(or something similar)

I reckon we have that man (mountain) now!!

    Anyone else remember that ?!

He left in the January 2012 transfer window at which point Blackburn were 18th, had lost 12 of the 22 games they'd played, conceding 45 goals.

Not exactly impressive, but then they also had Bradders in defence and Kean as manager.

They got rid of Samba and Nelsen in the same window. And I am very happy they did.
