So I arrived in England today, brought some good weather with me. Sunny and 13 degrees
Woke up at 5 am, flight left at 9:30, got here at 9:20 and at 12 noon I arrived at Brighton. Now I'm off, have to buy a lot of stuff to get myself settled here.

Welcome! Hope somebodies filled you in on our traditional "naked Fridays"... It's a massive insult to us English types if you refuse this custom :emoticon-0172-mooni:bandit:

Hello and welcome to England, I think you should do something really dramatic to distract our attention away from a very 'Dull' transfer window.....<laugh>

Just kidding, watch the roads when crossing..<ok>

    Welcome to England and Brighton.

Good job you arrived in Brighton at 12. At 9 this morning I thought the world was coming to an end, the wind and rain were that bad.

I also went to England today. A quick dash over the Dyke to Saxon infested lands en route to the Land of Our Fathers* then back to the Llŷn.

It seemed odd seeing St George's Flags flying in Sheffield; I suppose I am not used to seeing them any more.

But anyway, Cove, welcome to Blighty. Hope you have fun and a profitable stay here.

(*our respective parents both came from Sheffield, in fact they went to the same school, our grandparents both worked in the same mutions factory in the war and, yet, we both met on the Llŷn each thinking that the other was Welsh. How odd and how small a world it is sometimes)

Cove, there used to be a good computer shop, H&C Computers, on Church Road (at the Brighton/Hove border). I don't know if they are still there but if so, they are/were rather good and useful to know if you need computer stuff.

I'm some way outside of Brighton, like 30 miles off, so I'll probably get there somewhere next month or so. But when I get there I'll keep a look out <cheers>

It's traditional in Brighton to take an early morning dip every day.

    They'll think you're a real woose if you don't.

And don't forget the early morning naked marathon run - it's compulsory! Wouldn't want to upset the locals now Cove.

You're actually not that far off the mark. There is a naked bike ride through Brighton once a year. Although with all these things it's the people you would least like to see naked that participate.

Day 2: Today I came to the conclusion that the southerners are quite ****ing dirty. Yesterday I noticed everyone you walk by never looks straight at you but straight to the ground. After two days I found out why: Every 30 yards you come across at least 3 dogshits. So today I stepped in the 5th dogpile in within like 36 hours.
    Filthy, filthy English everywhere!

Oh No, how awful, you need to learn how to levitate to miss the poo!

I'm happy to inform you, I always clean up after my dogs, and as I always carry copious amounts of poo bags, I have been known to give them to the horrors that dont feel the need to clean up after their pets.

So you're settling in then? <laugh>
