Have decided to drive to the Capitol Final rather than get on one of the official coaches (took 8 hours for the coach to get back from the play off final).

Was thinking of parking up and then catching a tube to Wembley - any advice on the best part of London regarding parking and access to the tube? <cheers>

Harrow on the hill then two tube stops to Wembley. That worked for me for the play off final .I think if you try any closer to the ground then it's pretty much congestion all the way

Cheers Bony - going up early so not too bothered about getting close to the ground - just as long as we can park close(ish) to a tube station.

I drove last time and parked at Denham for the playoffs, this was on recommendations on some forums I read - I waited 5 mins for a train at a small station (was a few other jacks there, but was not busy), cost just a couple of quid for a return ticket... 5-10 mins straight to wembley stadium.. was about 20-30 mins wait to get back on train after the game, but i didn't mind as talking to everyone in the queue... and no traffic when I got back to my car so couple of hours and was home.... I plan to do the same again this time around.....

I know that some people park at Uxbridge, but I think it's as broad as it is long - but as I've done Denham before, will do the same again.. .hope that helps... <ok>

Yeah you could go on the overland from Denham, Gerrard's Cross, Beaconsfield - anywhere on that line and parking would be easier I'd imagine. Trains then take about 10-20 mins to Wembley

Cartoon, I live about 40 mins north of Wembley and I park in the underground car park at Queensbury - if you get there early enough its fine. Its only 6 mins from Wembley Park and its on the northern route out afterwards which tends to be less congested than London bound. IF I can get a ticket thats where I will be parking.

I did Denham last time and was going to do so again (I met LoughorJack on the platform - you still around?), but the Queensbury option looks good too. Safe travels to everyone. <ok>

Cartoon, get on a site called park on my drive. I used it for the play off final. Parked on a nice ladies drive and had a 5 minute walk to the ground. excellent location and was away in no time after the game. worth a look.

Chiswick near the river is a good shout, free parking and Gunnersbury tube does an overground to Wembley, plus its easy to get onto the M4

Been years since I lived in the Smoke but think you'll have to change lines to get to Wembley from there but I'm probably thinking of the tube. Also, is Chiswick in the Congestion Zone? Does that not apply on weekends? Dunno, 'cos I don't go that way.

I looked up the underground map and it's a fair distance across town with a few changes required so I'll stick with what I know .

...also, maybe some thought should be given to the fact that Bradford fans are likely to be heading north after the game. Was a bit of a wait last time to get back to Denham (west) due to lots of Reading fans going that way too. Thing is, the other direction from Wembley takes you back into London so there may not be much of a choice.

If we win I won't really care.
