Get it right mate, we're in the Premier League National Division and hoping to move to the expanded Super League when it becomes two divisions. Even Southampton aren't in the Hampshire League! Well, QK Southampton are but not Southampton Southampton.

I've been to a few Wessex League grounds and most of them are just about 20 seats if you're lucky and a rail around the pitch. With an away support of even 100 people (which considering the games will be local and very cheap to get into might not be that unfeasible) it would be a security nightmare!

deluded if you think pompey would retain the ~8,000 fans they are getting now in non-league.

Tonbrige Angels sang that at Farnborough once. It was very upsetting.

Hey, excluding the cups as far as I'm aware we haven't dropped below 10k. And tbh, 8000 might be a bit optimistic but if we're tonking the opposition every week, there could be maybe... 4-5k. Think how many fans Rangers are getting in the Scottish Division 3.

Don't be silly...never actually gets to court..it's just moved on by few weeks every time. Armageddon or the end of the DFS sale will come first.

    one of the reasons...

as well as the fact that rangers are one of only two clubs in scotland(lets be honest) and it has the whole religion aspect to it. and that scottish people are nutters.

Less than 100 more season tickets than 2010/11 and yet the column is nearly twice as high. It's fun to make misleading charts!!!!

    Indeed, indeed and indeed.

But we have the same kit at least!

My point isn't that we'll get as many fans as Rangers coming through (even if we could), but if a team is highly successful and the season is perceived to be a fresh new start (which the first season of a reformed Portsmouth would be) and there's a buzz around the club, people will most likely come. If we lose Fratton Park and have to groundshare with Havant & Waterlooville, that might dent that somewhat but even still. Of course, as Jen says, there's quite a difference between us and Rangers, especially the fact that there's teams like Man U and Chelsea people will piggy back onto, as well as other fairly large local teams like you lot, Brighton, Bournemouth, Gosport Borough, etc which will of course mean we won't get as many fans as we otherwise might. But I still think, a few thousand maybe is possible if we keep Fratton Park and are successful on the pitch.

Winning is fun at any level. I know because I supported a good nonleague side once. Fans will support you if you start lower in the leagues and win a high proportion of games. You don't even have to build up a fan base as you already have one. The bit you have to get used to is almost no coverage in the media.
