He looked to be doing the decent thing by sticking with his manager despite a series of awful displays under the leadership of Mark Hughes. Right up to the wire he was giving MH his public support but in the end had to give in to pressure and let him go. It's odd how football can be and along came Harry much to the surprise of many, again well done to TF for doing the best for QPR by getting in one of the few managers who could stand any chance of halting the slide.

A lot of flack aimed at TF by a handful of Tweeters and it looked like he'd had enough at one stage but he's certainly proved good to his word and given Harry enough support to bring in the players our manager said were needed.

Who knows if we will manage the miracle required to stay up, I'm not so sure there is enough time to manage it but regardless I think Tony has been good enough to give Harry the funds needed to at least give it a good go.

The majority of QPR fans are behind TF and we chant his name every home game. I hope the players re-pay his and our faith by starting with a win against Norwich tomorrow.

    Come on you R's!!!!!

It must have been difficult for Tony to decide whether to stick of twist in this window, not a decision I would have liked to make. But he's let his heart rule his head and gone for it. He and the board have dug deep to try to pull us out of the relegation places, so for their sake and ours I hope it pays off. On thing's for sure, we have the best manager for the fight!

Absolutely delighted with his role in attracting the players and convincing the board to splash the cash. That's where he's a real asset to the club.

What I've been saying all along is I just wish we had a guy in his ear telling him what the club can or can't do. A football director or chairman who is independent of the owners. I'm not entirely comfortable with our situation because we don't have that person. TF has taken it all on himself but he can only do so much with the limited football experience he has. I guess if we survive, who cares!!

Hats off to Tone, he's really gone for it. Rightly or wrongly, he's ploughed money and emotion into developing his project and I truly feel he is one of us. We are lucky to have him and for his and our sakes, I hope it comes off. 10 years ago, play off heart break, 10 years time, who knows.

    Best QPR signing?

    Samba?
    Remy?
    Arry?
    TF?

    I fooking love this club.

Grove, i don't really use twatter any more, and i don't understand how a QPR fan can be unhappy with TF, what is the beef of QPR fans on twitter who have issue with him?

surely Amit must be involved in this? he's been with us a bit longer and would have more expertise in the do's and don'ts of the business.

I've waited twenty years to have a chairman as committed and ambitious at QPR as Tony Fernandes. It wasn't so long ago that we were in the third tier and fighting for our very survival. Even with all the trouble we find ourselves in, I would have bitten your arm off if I'd been offered our current situation compared to then.
Let's hope that the Harry gamble pays off, starting with 3 points on Saturday.

To a large extent our problems are still down to the failings of Flavio! The only thing the club had left when he arrived was some dedicated staff who knew about running a football club, but he soon got shot of them, leaving us with nothing.

I also feel sorry for Hughes to a small degree. Tony and amit are very successful businessmen, and you don't become so without knowing your limitations. Both knew that they weren't the ones to run the business,, but the task they set Hughes was to run everything football related, which as its turned out seems to have been to great a task for one man. Or at least the manager as it has affected the team performance.

So I do feel a bit sorry for Hughes and I don't feel we would be in such sure straights if we did have someone at the top who was a football man. It's not TF or AB's fault, they know we need that man at the top. Phil beard is an excellent option for the commercial side, but I fear that by letting the manager dictate the man at the top of the football chain, then any team failures will cause a domino affect which means we are stripped bare each time.

But these are teething problems for the board, they see this as a long term project and as such are prepared to take a long term view. It's just some of the fans live for the here and now and can't see past their noses. But I'm confident tony will make things good in the end, but relegation might just have to be a learning hurdle that they and us have to accept I. Getting things right for the future.

I guarantee any such 'expert' would have whole-heartedly backed the decision to bring in Hughes which is really TF's only mistake (if you could call it that). Any anyway, how would you like to invest large chunks of your hard earned fortune in a business and then have no say at all over how it was run?

Totally agree with the OP. TF has done all he can to support HR with funds and even got involved in deals like playing Remy on fifa.

Nothing but admiration for the guy and he is clearly committed. If we do go down, it wont be for the lack of effort from the board.
