I hope I'm not alone in this, but I am no longer worried about relegation. I think TF and H are going to do enough to ensure survival!

Samba is a great replacement for Nelsen and with the others in the squad I am convinced we'll be OK.
    U Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!

Happy with the new faces, but lets not get ahead of ourselves yet; huge game tomorrow which is going to be a lot tougher than we think. They have just drawn - and scored! - against Spurs, and will be right up for it. Our new signings will have to adjust to how things are done here so while I continue to be cautiously optimistic, there is no room for complacency ( not suggesting that you are Sheff!)

    I have never been worried<whistle>

But now I am very confident. Samba is what I have been dreaming about for a long time.

To be honest i never was worried either.
Worrying aint gonna help the cause so the only thing i can do is support the team to the fullest every other week.
And if the very worst happens (which i'm quitely confident aint gonna happen)....I'll still be there.

If we signed a ball playing semi-defensive midfielder I would be supremely confident but absolutely no complaints at all, we have a good team. But these four players must stay on the pitch from now till the end of the season - Cesar, Samba, Adel and Remy. This is our spine. World class imo.

Please can these clowns be wheeled out and shot in November when we're preparing to face fu*king Brentford in a bottom of the table six-pointer?

I'll put a poll up so we can vote. I'll put the option of slow strangulation in too for those who really want to let off some steam. :steam:

So your comments are based about a stupid dream that we may play Brentford? If that day ever came
Then you still would have a big task trying to shoot me I would still be there you see and would take the bullets

    Then I would rise again

And heaven then help the people who even thought this

You are truly lost and you are some others will never be of the same stuff it seems

To be honest I'm not that worried now, if it happens it happens. I just feel the team is taking shape and if we can get a little bit of luck and a win or two we might just get the momentum going. The key games are against the teams immediately above us and that's where our fate will be decided...

I see where you are all coming from. Except for Swords of course! However I am worried. For as long as keep ticking over with 0-0 draws while all our rivals keep going for it and winning we are making relegation likelier.

There are too many things we do not know about for me to be confident about the future - the commitment of our owners, the commitment of our star players, the terms of their contracts, and the size of our debt. Don't refer me any of you to the expressions of faith, optimism and promises being made by the powers that be. As you probably know by now, I have little faith in the truth of public statements, tweets and press anouncements.

The only things that are written are what the author believes to be what the audience want to hear. It was and always will be so. I prefer to make my judgment on the body language and facial expression of the person speaking. And of course, the hard facts. 13 games to go and now 6 points to make up to be safe.

I am well within my rights to be optimistic, Swords. Piss off!

6 points to make up over 13 games and three teams to get past...

The bookies to a man have us dead and buried. Some of them may be mistaken but all?

Well within your rights old son but you've got to be prepared to take the hit when reality bites too.

it is a bit silly for anybody to say that they are not worried about relegation when we are falling further behind and running out of games

I'll take the hit when/if it happens. I'll be absolutely inconsolable, but until then I am keeping my hopes and mood up. Otherwise I'd be miserable 24/7.

Can anyone remember the game that relegated us to League 1 ???

If i remember right we won 3-0 at home to West Ham (I think) the day we were relegated to the Championship (or whatever it was called then).......I survived both and lived to tell the tale

That was another year where we did too little too late, we won our last three home games if my memory is right...
