we'll never be more desperate than we are now, and we haven't secured him. The price won't change in the summer, they'll be half way through a season! Same mistakes again.
It's really not as simple as that. The problem seems to be this 3rd party ownership, which is common in Brazil. Therfore, it's not just a matter of dealing with Internacional and reaching agreement with them, agreement also has to be reached with 2-3 third parties. My problem with Levy is, why leave it so late? They then have you over a barrel with no time to negotiate.
I take every point there Roo but we haven't reached the end of the season yet have we? We haven't failed to reach the CL yet either,it's all to play for still. I don't think AVB will go anywhere else just yet,he's with us for a while. I still feel that a win will galvanize us as oft times before and we'll be ok.
No, you're right mate. But we can use our previous experiences as a guide for the future. We're really struggling for goals and not addressing this could be our downfall. we really do ride our luck sometimes.
How has Ade been playing in the ACoN? I've not seen any reports of goals. When are Togo gonna get knocked out? I've not followed it at all tbh. We desperately need Ade to perform now, and stay fit. Defoe, with the injury and lack of goals, needs resting.
Scored one, made one and missed a hatful. So Spurs form basically. They are through to q/f knockout stage, next week. Unlikely to progress another round, but then weren't expected to get this far. One more win and they are there for the whole tournament (I think they have 3rd/4th playoffs?)
Thanks, so we need him to show his Spurs form for 1 more game and then come back and with better form
I'll be over the moon if we get Saha now, as others suggested a few days back. The dream of improving on what we have is now over (till the summer), but we still need cover. #PrayforLouis
Silly to say made one. You can cross a ball right on the striker's head from two yards out and he misses then you've made a miss haven't you? Assists mean nothing and the statistic should be eliminated from use. Nothing personal against you there SD.
I can't see us going for Saha at all, it would be an admission of failure from DL and AVB, re-signing a player who was not deemed good enough for us 6 months ago, but is now...
interesting. did any of you see McDermott being interviewed yesterday about signings? he said "we're looking at one other, but it's 50/50, maybe 60/40 against." the telegraph are reporting that Reading tried to get Sig and made 3 offers!. - i guess that's the same player Mcdermott is on about? - shows sig isn't having a great time and clearly others are noticing it, hence a bid. wonder if he'll be off in the summer? edit: here's a sky sports link: http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ews-Reading-failed-with-Gylfi-Sigurdsson-bids
I guess the following is what we'll have to put up with now http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/4...-transfer-news-madrid-bale-ronaldo-holtby.htm Apparently saying he wants to play like Ronaldo means he wants to join Madrid.
Martin Jol's said that we pulled the Huddlestone deal at the last minute. Strange. Makes it sound like we were in for someone ourselves, but that it couldn't be done, for whatever reason.
As well as Super Louis Saha, other out-of-contract strikers include a 30-year-old Brazilian international with 27 goals in 48 games who's won 4 Seria A titles and the SPL's top scorer of all time...
Radio 5 now quoting McDermott that he thought he had got Sig...... He hasn't exactly set the world alight with the opportunities he has had so far, but cannot see this latest revelation helping his performances from here on in!
