    Just imagine how good he could be with a creative midfielder and a decent Manager !!!! Right now he's doing it the very hard way , and creating things from scraps.

    Absolutely fantastic player .... BUT.... he chickens out of tackles though - I've seen him! Not sure he's the right type of player at all if we want to defend a lead.

    Dont be silly guys, Chelsea players never get the awards they deserve, remember 2010 and the Rooney fiasco. Him or Van Persie will win it with Suarez, Bale, Baines and Michu in the running, despite Mata playing out of his skin

    The man has a good point here, would say Michu is Mata's biggest rival though, all things being equal.
